The Visit

Amelie

It was way past noon as we made our way to the prison. Liam drove the car, and our two children sat in the back seat of the car, their excitement undeniable. They had no idea what a prison was, nor did they know its function. They were kids, so I couldn't blame them for getting excited about everything.

This visit was a little bit sudden. Liam had returned home yesterday and was all happy about something. I had asked him what the occasion was, and the first reply he gave was: "We're paying Anna a visit tomorrow."

The answer had been wild to me, but after further explanation, I came to understand both the reason for his happiness as well the reason for this sudden visit.
