Chapter 150-surface

Cecilia POV

As my period approached, I woke up in the middle of the night with a stomachache. I got up in my pajamas and went to the kitchen to pour myself a glass of water.

Sadness is just a fleeting moment. It feels like I haven't been at Karl's place for long. In about a year, I've been through a lot.

This house holds so many memories of Karl, even some are bad and negative, but as I leave, each moment seems worthy of careful consideration.

Suddenly, two cat meows echoed in my ears. Before I could turn around, I was enveloped in an embrace.

A familiar scent wafted over, a crisp and bitter citrus fragrance, intertwining with the water in my cup.

An arm wrapped around my waist, and I was completely pressed against the chest behind me.

I felt a weight on my head, then it shifted to my shoulder, and as I turned to look, all I could see was the soft corner of a hoodie hood.
