Chapter 33: Surrender

Lilia POV

The minute Dane shut the doors to their bedroom, he locked them, keeping out three of his whistling, cheering brothers, who’d followed them all the way from the feast, teasing them and shouting good-natured encouragement.

He gathered Lilia in his arms immediately, pressing against her so she could feel his arousal, hard against her belly. He buried his face in her hair. She shuddered from anticipation, thinking about having him inside her.

Goddess, she felt ready. She’d looked back and seen him hug Azandra. A genuine, caring hug. The more she thought about it, the more she wanted this man. Tonight. Now.

“We’ll be leaving in the morning,” she whispered. “So, we need to make the most of tonight.”

He looked at her, somber. “I’ll be going. You’re staying.”

“But ..."

“The Luna doesn’t go to war. She welcomes her Alpha home, victorious. I WILL be victorious.”

“You’re going to find the crystals. I should help ..."
