The Betrayal (2)

"Are you sure master went there?" Alviraz asked as he watched the quiet camp from afar. They stopped by the foot of sacred mountains where demons gathered, expecting to find the golden dragon. But the pitch-dark night didn't allow them to progress boldly.

"It was reported by Marquis Preston's scout a while ago…" The soldier informed him.

"I don't believe that man…" The king was unsure. "Be careful while patrolling the area… Demons were here first so we will try and don't bother them as much as possible…"

"As you wish, Your Majesty!" The knight accepted the commands.

"Any news from Vanderbilt's house?" (Alviraz)

"They were last sighted in the south from here, so far we don't have any further information…" The knight admitted.

"But it's Marquis Preston again who is responsible for monitoring? Send our own scouts, don't just rely on him…" Alviraz couldn't help but be suspicious of the member of his court.
