Chapter 528: Garon Aurelian, Become a Primeval God!

As time passed, the intensity of the war escalated dramatically across all battlefields, not just those involving the gods of great divine power.

Outside of Garon, there were significant casualties among the gods of moderate and minor divine power. Even with the presence of Garon, the invincible Eternal and Time Dragon beneath the level of great divine power, the gods remained at a disadvantage.

"What's gotten into these guys? None of them want to face me head-on," Garon grumbled.

Every Primeval God he encountered avoided direct combat with him, opting instead to flee and delay him as much as possible. Even when cornered in a world, they would rather attempt to escape than engage in a desperate battle, continually dragging out the confrontation to waste Garon's time and energy.

The endless cat-and-mouse scenarios were growing tiresome for Garon.

As for the Primeval Gods with quasi-minor divine power, they weren't significant enough. After sealing one to test the Sun Dominion, Garon didn't bother wasting further effort on them.

After considerable exertion, Garon managed to seal another quasi-moderate divine power Primeval God, but he felt noticeably fatigued.

Chasing down Primeval Gods determined to escape was more draining than engaging in direct combat.

Yet, he couldn't simply ignore them because nearly all of them were fleeing.

"Quasi-moderate divine power entities keep running away, but surely the quasi-great divine power Primeval Gods won't shy away from a direct confrontation."

With this thought, Garon prepared to target a quasi-great divine power entity. Dealing with such a being would yield greater rewards than sealing multiple quasi-moderate and quasi-minor divine power entities combined.

As for his newly acquired Sun Dominion, Garon decided not to proceed cautiously.

Battling a quasi-great divine power opponent would present a genuine challenge, requiring him to fight with his utmost, using every ounce of his power. The intensity and urgency of such battles would allow him to master the Sun Dominion more effectively and efficiently.

However, he couldn't rely solely on the Sun Dominion.

Quasi-great divine power Primeval Gods were formidable adversaries, requiring Garon to employ all his abilities.

When Garon had faced the Primeval Sun God, although he successfully sealed it, he had sustained serious injuries and needed considerable time to recover.

Returning to the Hero's Domain, he absorbed life energy and rested until he regained his peak condition.

The silver dragon's gaze swept across various Prime Material Worlds, searching for his next target.

Before long, he spotted a familiar Primeval God in one of the worlds.

In a particular Prime Material World.

Dark clouds blanketed the sky, thunder roared, and heavy rain poured down in torrents, driven by howling winds that covered the land in a shroud of rain.

Amidst the storm, the World Devourer moved with gaping jaws, leaving deep, endless chasms across the ground, crushing mountains and devouring seas. It voraciously consumed everything within its sight at an astonishing speed.

The tremors of the earth felt like the world's mournful cries.

Despite its battle with the God of Light, the World Devourer had emerged unscathed, without any significant injuries.

After retreating for a while, it had immediately descended upon a Prime Material World, indulging in a feast, endlessly devouring all life and matter within its reach.

The demigods in this world, whether they tried to fight back or flee, had all ended up in the bloated belly of the World Devourer.

Suddenly, the World Devourer ceased its movements, its massive jaws closing shut. Its golden eyes turned skyward.

Descending from the clouds was the majestic silver dragon, its presence commanding as dragon might and divine power intertwined, cascading like rivers and illuminating like the sun, sweeping across like a torrential flood.

Behind the silver dragon, a pair of radiant Sun Wings shimmered, scattering dazzling light with every beat.

Whoosh!

Centered around the silver dragon, the concentrated white brilliance erupted, forming a sphere that resembled a newly risen, blazing sun, birthed from the dragon and enveloping it.

Endless light and heat radiated in all directions.

The light coated the World Devourer's rough, keratinous hide with a faint glow.

Simultaneously, the light dispelled the storm clouds and rain, transforming the gloomy weather into a bright, serene day.

The rain ceased as the World Devourer, gazing at the silver dragon, bared its fangs in a grim, puzzled smile.

"The Sun Dominion... the dominion of the God of Light. How did it end up in your hands?"

The World Devourer wondered aloud, eyes filled with astonishment. "Did you seize it while the God of Light was gravely wounded?"

Garon looked down at the World Devourer from above, offering no response.

The World Devourer swayed slightly, sensing that its guess might be off but didn't press further.

"Time Dragon Garon Aurelian, though you are not as ancient as us Primeval Gods, I recognize your stature."

Rolling its massive body, the World Devourer ascended to the sky, facing Garon directly. "You are not a deity; you do not depend on the faith of mortals. Why insist on siding with the gods and opposing the great Primeval beings?"

"If you are willing, I can vouch for you, allowing you to join the Primeval Gods and become one of the great Primeval beings."

Faced with the World Devourer's offer, Garon remained calm and responded quietly, "Even if the embers of the old age flare up again, they can only burn for a brief moment; they cannot last."

Garon had no intention of joining the Primeval Gods.

He had no desire for the desolate, monotonous Primeval era. The vibrant, multifaceted multiverse was what he wanted to see flourish.

Only the ancient Primeval Gods were stubborn enough to seek to shatter the planar worlds and revert the multiverse to the primordial era.

"Indeed, it is like a rekindled flame, but as long as we can incinerate the gods, we will become eternal in the Primeval age."

The World Devourer remained indifferent.

Then, the World Devourer, with its massive, gaping maw filled with spiraling, grinder-like teeth, lunged toward Garon.

As expected, the quasi-great divine power Primeval God did not fear Garon.

"If that thing bites me, even my Temporal Barrier might not hold, and it could tear me apart."

Garon's eyes narrowed as he sensed the threat posed by the World Devourer.

Its abilities were singular but formidable, as evidenced by its status as a quasi-great divine power entity.

Facing the oncoming World Devourer, Garon's Sun Wings spread wide, radiating brilliant sunlight.

Sun Dominion: Solar Flare!

Boom!

The light coating the World Devourer suddenly transformed into blazing flames. Centered on the World Devourer, the surrounding light collapsed inward, fueling the Solar Flare, burning the World Devourer.

The keratinous, iron-like hide of the World Devourer showed little reaction to the scorching flames.

"Such feeble attacks... your use of the Sun Dominion is far inferior to that of the God of Light."

The World Devourer spoke truthfully, and Garon didn't deny it.

Simultaneously, Garon activated his Time Stop Field.

The World Devourer, engulfed in the intense flames, froze in mid-air, caught in temporal stasis.

Crack, crack... Under Garon's watchful gaze, the World Devourer soon began moving again, its massive jaws grinding away at the temporal forces that constituted the Time Stop Field, biting through the very fabric of time.

"All things will be shredded in my maw."

The World Devourer chewed through the Time Stop Field, slowing but still advancing relentlessly toward the silver dragon.

"You enjoy eating so much? Let me satisfy you."

Garon took a deep breath, drawing in the waters of the River of Time, his chest swelling with the influx.

Whoosh!

Like a celestial river cascading, Garon unleashed his Time Destruction Breath toward the World Devourer.

Confronting Garon's breath, the World Devourer did not dodge.

It was the first to face Garon's breath head-on, even more so than the Primeval Sun God, who had felt the breath's power and chosen to defend against it.

In an instant, Garon's breath met the World Devourer head-on.

The World Devourer's gaping maw split wider, almost tearing its body apart from the center.

Boom!

Garon's breath blasted directly into the World Devourer's mouth.

The Time Destruction Breath carried not only destructive force but also immense impact. The World Devourer's advancing body halted, locked in a stalemate with the breath.

Garon held his breath, his dragon breath unrelenting.

On the other side, the World Devourer gulped down the breath, its fangs shattering, and the inner walls of its mouth disintegrating layer by layer. Yet, the broken fangs regrew instantly, and the torn flesh healed rapidly, displaying astonishing regenerative abilities.

As it devoured Garon's breath, the World Devourer's body swelled, expanding visibly.

After a short while.

Garon ceased his breath.

The World Devourer's body had grown significantly larger, resembling an overinflated balloon. The keratinous hide was split by numerous cracks, and its movements had slowed considerably.

Clearly, swallowing Garon's breath was not an easy feat for the World Devourer.

"Your attacks are futile; they have no effect."

The World Devourer's body slowly shrank back to its original size.

Seeing this,

Garon's eyes narrowed, his gaze sharp.

"It seems it has a limit to how much it can endure."

"If I can surpass this limit in a short period, overwhelming the World Devourer before it can digest, I might be able to defeat it."

Without hesitation, the World Devourer lunged at Garon again.

Garon had no intention of engaging in close combat. He maintained a distance, avoiding the World Devourer's reach, while unleashing a barrage of spells, time forces, and dominion attacks on it.

The World Devourer accepted everything, devouring all attacks.

Sun Dominion: Solar Eye!

Suns rose into the sky, hanging high above, cold and indifferent like Garon's own eyes.

Simultaneously, beams of radiant light formed from these suns, locking onto the World Devourer, cascading towards it like waterfalls, tracking its every move.

Originally a powerful spell related to the sun, Garon had adapted it into a dominion skill, greatly enhancing its power.

In response, the World Devourer's spherical body began spinning rapidly, rotating in all directions, consuming every beam of light.

Temporal Mirage!

A mirage leapt from the River of Time, spinning swiftly and biting at the World Devourer from every angle.

The next moment, the two spherical entities collided.

Boom!

The mirage was overwhelmed, disintegrating piece by piece under the World Devourer's assault, eventually consumed entirely.

Given that the World Devourer was a quasi-great divine power entity and Garon was a quasi-moderate divine power, the mirage, even though it could be used against it, was far weaker than the original.

Temporal Partition!

Under Garon's will, time forces split the flow of time into a net-like partition, enveloping the World Devourer.

Temporal Surge!

The River of Time surged, crashing against the World Devourer.

Temporal Rift Claw!

Garon's claws slashed through the air, tearing through time and space, raking towards the World Devourer.

Simultaneously, Garon exhaled again, unleashing the Time Destruction Breath.

Under Garon's relentless assault, the World Devourer began to feel threatened.

As it spun rapidly, its body was crisscrossed with vein-like patterns glowing like molten iron, radiating intense heat that distorted the surrounding space.

The World Devourer, now a glowing, searing entity, accelerated its rotation.

Spinning at breakneck speed, its jaws opened and closed, devouring attacks from all directions. It charged towards Garon like a blazing meteor, moving at an almost instantaneous speed.

"So troublesome."

Garon furrowed his brows.

His two pairs of wings spread wide, and under the cover of the radiant sunlight, the silver dragon shot skyward, zigzagging as the World Devourer pursued relentlessly.

Garon maneuvered deftly, narrowly evading the World Devourer's spinning assaults each time.

The World Devourer, utilizing its special abilities, was now faster than Garon.

However, Garon's Time Eyes allowed him to predict its movements to some extent, enabling him to react in advance and evade its attacks without much difficulty.

While being pursued, Garon continued to counterattack.

With most of his time power used to accelerate himself, predict the World Devourer's movements, and hinder it, Garon relied on his Sun Dominion for his counterattacks.

Sun Dominion: Solar Cascade!

The Sun Wings spread wide, releasing endless streams of blinding white light, like a vast waterfall, cascading towards the World Devourer as it chased Garon.

The World Devourer, spinning rapidly, swallowed the solar cascade, growing larger as it moved against the flow.

The silver dragon and the World Devourer entered a stalemate.

The World Devourer couldn't catch Garon, and Garon's attacks were ineffective, unable to inflict substantial damage.

Time ticked by, second by second.

Just as Garon grew weary of the drawn-out chase and considered taking the risk to engage the World Devourer in close combat.

The World Devourer abruptly halted its spinning.

Hiss, hiss... Steam billowed from its body, nearly obscuring the sky.

As if cooling down, its searing, iron-like body returned to normal, the vein-like patterns faded away.

Now, the World Devourer had expanded to nearly ten thousand meters in diameter, a terrifyingly grotesque sight, though its surface was marred by deep, web-like cracks.

Having consumed countless of Garon's attacks, it was now at its limit.

"Garon Aurelian, no wonder Ahern fell to you."

The World Devourer breathed heavily.

As it spoke, its body slowly shrank.

Garon's eyes gleamed with determination, recognizing this as the perfect moment to strike hard and severely injure the World Devourer. He braced himself for another round of attacks.

But the World Devourer reacted swiftly.

"However, just because you sealed Ahern doesn't mean you can seal me."

"Until next time, Garon Aurelian!"

Without hesitation, it shattered the planar barrier, evading Garon's space-time lock, and vanished from the Prime Material World.

Garon deactivated his giant form, his expression fatigued, and refrained from further pursuit.

The relentless assault on the World Devourer had taken a significant toll on Garon as well. Now that the World Devourer had reached its limit, Garon was also in a depleted state.

"The Primeval Sun God underestimated me, which is why it fought until the end and was critically injured before trying to escape, allowing me to seal it."

"But other quasi-great divine power entities, like the World Devourer, are likely to retreat when they sense they're in trouble. In such cases, it's difficult to capture them."

Since the onset of the second Dawn War, this was Garon's first setback, wasting considerable effort without achieving any result.

However, Garon was undeterred.

He returned to the Hero's Domain, absorbing life energy to replenish his strength while reflecting silently.
