Chapter 531: The Old Multiverse

When the Lady of Pain left her collapsing birthplace and came to the Great Ring Multiverse, the Eternal Sun discovered her and offered assistance, establishing a bond between them.

"And so, I shared with you the knowledge of the Infinite Multiverse as repayment."

The Lady of Pain remained unmoved, speaking indifferently, with no intention of granting the Eternal Sun's request.

The Eternal Sun's eyes glowed intensely, his tone cold. "Revealing the magnificent world outside the well to a frog at the bottom, but leaving it unable to escape—do you call that repayment?"

Any ambitious deity, once aware of the Infinite Multiverse, would never be content with their current state.

Upon learning that the Great Ring Multiverse was merely a finite multiverse, the Eternal Sun developed a fervent desire to break free and spread his radiance across the Infinite Multiverse.

Ignoring the Lady of Pain's warnings, he embarked on a mad experiment.

He attempted to harness the River of Time to merge suns from different times and finite multiverses, aspiring to become the sole Sun God of the Infinite Time-Space Multiverse.

The result was swift and disastrous. In an instant, the Eternal Sun was met with simultaneous counterattacks from all beings who wielded the power of the sun across different times and finite multiverses.

Though individually weak against the sudden approach of the Eternal Sun, the combined force of all these sun gods, even from vast distances in infinite time-space, became overwhelming, like a towering mountain of sand.

Realizing he would perish from his reckless act, the Eternal Sun split off a part of himself, creating the Dawn Lord as a seed for his future return.

"Why not stay safely at the bottom of the well if you can't escape?"

"Even if the multiverse is finite, it's vast enough. Why do some beings always seek more?"

The Lady of Pain's voice carried a hint of anger, her eyes reflecting helplessness and sorrow in the firelight.

"You may lack ambition and choose to be content, but there will always be those who, upon seeing other wells, will stop at nothing to invade and seize them."

"You, more than anyone, should understand this."

The Eternal Sun smiled as he spoke.

Hearing this, the Lady of Pain's expression turned cold.

Her birthplace was destroyed by gods from another finite multiverse, leading it to ruin step by step. The Eternal Sun's words struck a deep chord.

"Hmph, you're right."

"Then why are you in such a hurry?"

"The Great Ring Multiverse is strong. It won't fear an invasion."

"Besides, considering the current trajectory of the Great Ring Multiverse, under the leadership of the Dragon God, it might one day achieve true unification. When that happens, the other multiverses will count themselves lucky if the Great Ring doesn't seek to invade them."

"As far as I know, no finite multiverse is stronger than the Great Ring Multiverse."

In her understanding, wars between different finite multiverses usually involved one side already unified.

Otherwise, with various factions within a multiverse constantly at war with each other, how could they hope to invade another multiverse while facing the suppression of foreign cosmic rules?

Only a unified finite multiverse could launch a large-scale invasion of another multiverse.

Of course, some individuals might learn of other multiverses by chance and quietly build their forces, either as an escape route or for future plans.

Such small-scale incursions don't count as multiversal wars but rather as sneaky migrations.

"I wonder, wouldn't the Major Gods intervene in wars between different multiverses?"

The Eternal Sun inquired.

Major Gods are powerful because they are beings on the Infinite Multiverse level. Although not unique, within a finite multiverse, they represent overwhelming power. In different finite multiverses, they manifest in various forms and have created many finite multiverses.

Including the Great Ring Multiverse, many finite multiverses were created by the Major God Ao.

"Major Gods are few in the Infinite Multiverse."

"As far as I know, Ao does not concern himself with the conflicts between multiverses. He usually stays only briefly to observe his creation and then leaves a manifestation before moving on to create new multiverses."

The Lady of Pain knew of Ao's existence. When she arrived in the Great Ring Multiverse, Ao had not yet left. Because she did not come from a multiverse created by Ao, she feared for a long time that Ao might expel or even destroy her. However, Ao paid her no attention, indifferent to her presence.

The Lady of Pain casually summoned a book, opened it slowly, and began reading with disinterest as she continued, "Amannata, if you truly wish to leave this well, I have the best advice for you."

"You know I rarely involve myself in the Great Ring Multiverse's conflicts. I only wish to guard my Sigil. Giving you this advice is only because of our past association."

Sigil was created by the Lady of Pain to shield herself from the Great Ring Multiverse's erosion, so she almost never left it.

"What advice? Please, tell me."

The Eternal Sun asked.

The Lady of Pain continued flipping through her book, speaking slowly, "Join the Pantheon, help the gods defeat the Primal Gods, and win the Second Dawn War."

"Then propose to clear the Abyss, Hell, the Beastlands, and other planes, bringing all near-divine beings under the Pantheon's rule."

"Once the Pantheon becomes the undisputed ruler of the Great Ring Multiverse, and with no room for further development or external threats, it will either fall into internal strife or set sail towards the Infinite Multiverse."

"At that time, you can provide the coordinates of another finite multiverse. The Pantheon will not be content with the status quo."

"Then you can venture out of this well with the Pantheon, setting sail with the gods as your allies, which is much safer than venturing out alone."

The Eternal Sun responded, "If I had the coordinates of another multiverse, would I have come to you today?"

The Lady of Pain calmly replied, "You don't, but I do. When the time comes, I can give them to you."

She leisurely turned the pages of her book, rocking gently in her chair, seemingly indifferent to the conversation.

Hearing this, the Eternal Sun gazed at the Lady of Pain and suddenly smiled, his voice still cold and detached.

"My lady, you are not being entirely honest."

"Oh? How so?"

Amannata said, "You want to use the strength of the Great Ring Multiverse to take revenge. The so-called coordinates of another finite multiverse you mentioned must be the one that destroyed your birthplace, right?"

The Lady of Pain paused, then slowly closed her book and looked up at the Eternal Sun.

"Heh, let me tell you another thing. One of the evil gods from the finite multiverse that destroyed my home also arrived in the Great Ring Multiverse and is quite active."

The Eternal Sun's face tensed, his gaze turning sharp. "Who?"

The Lady of Pain glanced at the Eternal Sun and said, "Beg me, and I'll tell you."

The Eternal Sun: ...

"If you don't want to beg, then you'll have to find out on your own."

The Eternal Sun asked again, "What was the name of the finite multiverse that destroyed your home?"

The Lady of Pain's expression turned to one of reminiscence, her brows furrowing as if recalling unpleasant memories.

Finally, she slowly said, "I call it the Old Multiverse."

After a pause, the Lady of Pain continued, "As far as I know, the Old Multiverse has invaded more than one multiverse."

"However, although an evil deity from the Old Multiverse has a coordinate anchor in the Great Ring Multiverse, the overlords of that multiverse have not appeared, probably because something happened in their universe, or they fear the strength of the Great Ring Multiverse and are not confident."

After hearing the Lady of Pain's words, the Eternal Sun pondered carefully.

Finally, he shook his head, his gaze cold. "Perhaps your suggestion is better for me, but first, I want to find my own way out of this well."

The Lady of Pain closed her eyes slightly, reclining in her chair.

"Is that so? What exactly do you plan to do?"

The Eternal Sun replied candidly, "I will venture alone to other finite multiverses, seizing more solar dominions when the opportunity arises, accumulating power bit by bit."

The Eternal Sun's downfall was due to his greed and underestimation of other sun gods in his haste for quick success.

This time, he intended to be more cautious, conquering step by step, gradually accumulating dominion over time in the Infinite Multiverse.

Besides, his pride wouldn't let him be led by others.

Originally, the Eternal Sun wanted to reclaim all the sun dominions in the Great Ring Multiverse before moving to other multiverses. Unfortunately, the God of Light had given the sun dominion to Garon, and the Eternal Sun was reluctant to provoke the Eternal and Time Dragon.

He knew the significance of a dragon capable of traversing the River of Time.

To a being capable of navigating the Infinite Time-Space Multiverse, the Great Ring Finite Multiverse was merely a small pond.

Many beings possess time-related abilities, but very few can affect the Infinite Time-Space.

Most are just small fish playing in the tributaries of the River of Time.

Currently, Garon Aurelion, with his mid-tier divine power, might not be a match for the Eternal Sun, but without killing Garon, there was a chance to seize his solar dominion without facing Garon's future self.

However, as long as Garon lived, given the grudges held by true dragons and his rapid growth as a Time Dragon, the

Eternal Sun was unwilling to provoke him.

"Heh, any being with solar dominion in any finite multiverse is not weak."

"And your power will be suppressed in other multiverses."

"Do you think seizing the solar dominion from other multiverse sun gods will be easy?"

"One misstep, and you could become their prey."

"Amannata, you are still as reckless and impulsive as ever, acting without considering the consequences."

"You've already fallen once because of this. I believe it won't be the last time."

The Lady of Pain mocked.

Though mocking, her words held much truth.

"In any case, forget it. I will not assist you in reaching other multiverses."

If the Eternal Sun had reclaimed all three sun dominions, he might have threatened the Lady of Pain. But in his current state, he couldn't.

The Lady of Pain's firm stance made the Eternal Sun deliberate internally.

Seeing his hesitation, the Lady of Pain spoke calmly, "Amannata, think carefully. Would you rather hold onto your pride or choose the safer route I suggested to escape this well?"

As she spoke, under her will, the surrounding space once again blossomed like a mirror flower, transporting the Eternal Sun out of the Outlands.

In the Astral Plane.

The Eternal Sun stood, golden light swirling around him, pondering silently and retracting his form.

During the ceasefire between the Primal Gods and the gods.

Many apostles from divine kingdoms, under the gods' command, left the divine realms and descended to the Prime Material Plane to repair the severely damaged worlds, minimizing the losses and salvaging what they could.

During this time, the gods themselves were recuperating, restoring their strength and healing their wounds, unable to spare the time to repair the Prime Material Worlds.

In the rare moments of peace, time flowed smoothly and unhurriedly.

Until twenty years later.

Led by the Lord of Terror and the Ancient God of the Deep Sea, the Primal Gods launched another massive invasion of the Prime Material Plane.

The gods, having regained much of their strength, descended to confront the Primal Gods.

As the flames of war spread, the Prime Material Plane, barely repaired, fell back into devastation.

The vast Second Dawn War resumed.

Meanwhile.

In the Astral Plane.

Amidst the silvery light, a silver dragon, stretching several million kilometers, stood tall, like a giant celestial body, larger than many Prime Material Worlds.

Compared to his performance during the Unyielding Pact duel, Garon was now even more powerful.

The silver dragon's scales gleamed brightly, his horns shone, and the wings of time and sun behind him covered the sky.

In the dragon's palm floated a dazzling sphere about a hundred thousand kilometers in diameter.

It radiated brilliant light and heat, shining through the gaps between the dragon's claws, casting a bright glow over the silver Astral Plane.

It was a star, a genuine sun, held in Garon's hand.

Its true diameter was a million kilometers, but Garon had compressed it to fit in his palm.

"I once basked in the sun's light, gazing up at the great day."

"Now, the sun is in my hand, its radiance shining at my will."

In the vast expanse of the Astral Plane, the silver dragon gently toyed with the sun.
