Chapter 533: Sharing the Skies with the Goddess of Primordial Night

"Suddenly attacking the Metal World, what's the purpose?"

"Does she intend to ally with the Primordial Gods? Quite possible, given she seems indifferent to her followers."

"Or maybe it's unrelated to the Dawn War, and she's targeting the Primordial Sun God... After all, their powers do overlap somewhat."

The motives of evil gods are always elusive. Garon couldn't pinpoint the exact reason behind the attack.

Without hesitation, he abandoned the seal on the Corrupted Mountain of the Primordial Gods and immediately teleported to the Metal World.

At this moment, in the Metal World, the iron sky had been torn apart, crisscrossed with night-black scars. The iron-forged land lay in ruins, and a colossal metal dragon, as formidable as a mountain, lay shattered on the ground.

Its head had been twisted off, its wings torn apart, and its body was marred by corrosive marks.

The mechanical dragon god, a being of near weak divine power, had been half-destroyed in a brief encounter.

On the other side of the land, atop the dragon's severed head, stood a beautiful, dangerous, and mesmerizing goddess.

She wore a black lace gown that enveloped her completely in darkness, as if she had draped the deepest night over herself. In stark contrast, her exposed skin was as white as snow, the contrast of black and white drawing all attention.

Meanwhile, slight ripples formed in the river of time, as rays of sunlight descended from the heavens, illuminating the goddess of the night. Her stunningly cold and beautiful face, with deep violet eyes like two gems, was hard to forget.

"Eternal Dragon of Time, Garon Aurelian."

The goddess of the night tilted her head back, her gaze reflecting the arrival of the silver dragon.

With a cold, malicious smile, she slowly said, "What level are you to dare use the title 'Eternal' like me?"

Few gods bear the term 'Eternal' in their honorifics, but without exception, those who do are of exceptionally high status.

The Wheel of Eternity, one of the honorifics of Io, the Nine-faced Dragon God.

Additionally, there's Amanata, the Eternal Sun.

The goddess of night, Shar, is sometimes called the Eternal Night.

Among the Primordial Gods, there is also the Near Strong Divine Power known as the Eternal Void, a being of considerable strength.

Garon remained indifferent to the goddess's words, his face calm.

"Even the immortal gods face their demise someday."

"In the myriad worlds, across all things, only time flows eternally."

"I command time, drifting through past, present, and future, traversing all."

"So, tell me, do I not deserve the title 'Eternal'?"

The silver dragon looked down at the goddess of the night.

This goddess, older than the Nine-faced Dragon God, the Heavenly Emperor, and the Creator, predating the multiverse itself, had descended in power due to wars with her sister, yet remained formidable.

Few gods dared provoke the goddess of the night.

Mostly, those who were provoked by her would choose to ignore her.

Upon hearing Garon's words, the goddess of the night suddenly smiled. Her previously cold face melted like ice, blossoming into a smile as radiant as a flower. However, the deep-seated hatred and desire for destruction in her jet-black eyes did not diminish.

"Time is not eternal either. Long before time began to flow, in the tranquil void of the primordial, I existed and continue to this day."

"This is true eternity."

"Only fools cling stubbornly to their own limited understanding, basking in self-satisfaction."

Her words carried a mocking tone.

Hearing this, the dragon frowned.

According to the goddess of the night, did the river of time not exist before the birth of the multiverse?

She was born from the primordial chaos before the multiverse. If she was not deceiving Garon, there might be some truth to her words, though Garon found it hard to believe.

A being's understanding is like a circle; beyond the circle lies the unknown.

The more one knows, the larger the diameter of the circle, and the more one encounters the unknown beyond.

Though Garon could now influence and even control parts of the river of time, he still found it mysterious and unfathomable. Previously, he thought that once he reached a level of strong divine power, he might fully control the river of time.

But now, it seemed unlikely.

As the Nine-faced Dragon God mentioned, even the top gods had tried to control the river of time but failed, settling for merging their essence with it instead.

"How can you be certain that your understanding is correct?"

Garon quickly calmed down and asked plainly.

The goddess of the night was momentarily stunned. Her smile faded, and she replied coldly, "I witnessed the birth of the multiverse and the light of the first sun. My understanding is the truth."

The silver dragon said nothing more, not arguing further with the goddess of the night.

His gaze swept across the devastated Metal World, taking in the severely damaged landscape and the nearly ruined mechanical dragon god. In a deep voice, he asked, "I don't care if time is eternal."

"I only want to know, goddess of the night, why did you attack my world?"

"If you can't give me a satisfactory answer, don't blame me for not respecting the Primordial Goddess and meeting you with force!"

The goddess of the night smiled faintly, her gaze cold and indifferent, as she said, "Did you create this world? When did it become yours?"

The silver dragon's eyes were deep, and his scales shimmered as he replied, "I say it belongs to me, so it does."

With that, Garon's surroundings began to exude a dangerous, threatening dragon aura that spread in all directions.

"Leave my world. For the sake of the great god Io, I will not hold you accountable for the destruction you caused here."

"And if I refuse and choose to set this place ablaze?"

The goddess of the night asked with a smile.

"Then, you will remain here forever."

As he spoke, the silver dragon's four wings unfurled, blocking out the sky. His overwhelming presence surged like a tidal wave.

Below, under the dragon's imposing aura, the goddess of the night's dress fluttered like a slowly undulating night sky, graceful and beautiful.

Faced with Garon's sharp words, the goddess of the night did not respond immediately. Clearly, she harbored some fear of this Eternal Dragon of Time.

After a brief pause, the goddess of the night pointed in a direction.

It was towards the center of the Metal World, where towering mechanical pillars connected the iron sky and the earth.

A dozen semi-divine mechanical units surrounded the pillar, standing in silence, guarding against the goddess of the night. Scattered around were the remains of some other semi-divine mechanical units, already destroyed by her.

Inside the towering mechanical pillar was the heart of the machinery.

And the time amber sealing the Primordial Sun God was also stored there.

"Give me the Primordial Sun God, and I owe you a favor, how about that?"

Feeling Garon's faint sense of danger, the goddess of the night realized she couldn't defeat him and take the Primordial Sun God by force, so she revealed her true motive.

"So, it's the Primordial Sun God you're after."

This purpose had been one of Garon's earlier guesses.

Long ago, the Moon Goddess, unable to endure darkness and solitude, lit the sun and created life, dispersing the stillness of the primordial era. This act enraged the goddess of the night, who reveled in the silence and darkness.

Subsequently, the goddess of the night went on a rampage, destroying life and extinguishing light in her quest to return to the primordial tranquility and darkness. The world filled with light and life made her furious.

She harbored hatred for everything associated with life and light, retaliating madly.

In a desperate bid to stop her sister, the Moon Goddess launched a series of intense battles, causing both to suffer greatly.

To this day, the war between the two primordial goddesses had left deep scars. The Moon Goddess's status plummeted, while the goddess of the night retained her strong divine power, using her followers as pawns in a relentless quest to destroy the multiverse.

"The Primordial Sun God wields the power of primordial darkness. The goddess of the night commands a series of divine domains centered around darkness."

"Does she want to restore her former glory through the Primordial Sun God?"

Garon pondered as he gazed at the goddess of the night.

It seemed unlikely that she aimed to rescue the Primordial Sun God to ally with the Primordial Gods.

The reason was simple: although the goddess of the night detested life and craved a return to the primordial void, she did not share the same goals as the Primordial Gods.

In her eyes, even the Primordial Gods should not exist, making her views even more dangerous than those of the Primordial Gods.

Garon lifted his claw.

A piece of time amber appeared, sealing within it a small world. The Primordial Sun God was trapped in the time corridor, forever cycling through a series of repetitive events, unable to reach its desired reality.

"I can give you the Primordial Sun God."

"But only if you have something of greater value to offer in exchange."

Garon played with the time amber, speaking slowly.

The goddess of the night focused on the amber, staring at the Primordial Sun God within.

"My favor is priceless."

She said.

Garon shook his head and replied calmly, "I am not interested in your favor. I need tangible treasures."

Finding something of equal or greater value than a Near Strong Divine Power entity was incredibly

rare, let alone something more valuable.

After all, this was a Near Strong Divine Power.

Had it not voluntarily entered the main material plane for the Dawn War, sealing it would have been exponentially more difficult.

The goddess of the night pondered for a moment and said, "A crystal of primordial chaos from the early era, plus my favor."

Garon shook his head decisively and said, "Not enough."

The so-called crystals of primordial chaos were not that rare.

The energy from the sea of chaos was essentially diluted primordial chaos. With some effort, even ordinary strong divine power beings could condense primordial chaos crystals.

They were indeed divine materials.

But compared to a Near Strong Divine Power entity, they paled in significance.

The goddess of the night smiled radiantly. Her gown slowly slipped from her shoulders, revealing flawless, snow-white skin.

"And a night of passion with the Primordial Goddess, sharing the most intimate of moments."

The silver dragon hesitated briefly before shaking his head again.

"Still not enough."

At Garon's rejection, the goddess of the night's smile stiffened but quickly returned to normal. Her eyes darkened like the deepest night, jet-black as an abyss.

"Keep the Primordial Sun God safe. I'll return when I have gathered enough treasures to make a trade."

"This primordial chaos crystal will serve as compensation for the destruction I caused in your world."

She said with a smile.

Without waiting for Garon's response, a semi-ethereal night lotus bloomed under her bare feet, enveloping her in darkness. In an instant, she vanished, leaving behind a peculiar crystal.

The crystal was colorless, as if formed from solidified void, yet it contained energy of nearly all attributes.

"A primordial chaos crystal... Once refined into a compatible form, it can replenish energy at any time, a strategic resource for gods."

Generally, only strong divine power beings could use such items.

Garon summoned the primordial chaos crystal into his claw, played with it for a moment, and then sealed it in time amber for storage.

Though the crystal given by the goddess of the night was of high quality, even a treasure for strong divine power beings, Garon was indifferent.

As the lord of the Hero Domain, Garon could draw upon the life energy of the Hero Domain, which, while less versatile than the chaos crystal, was far more convenient.

Gazing at the spot where the goddess of the night had disappeared, Garon pondered silently.

"Her emotions shifted too quickly. It's hard to tell if she genuinely wants to trade or if it was just a verbal promise."

Such chaotic and evil gods were always the most unpredictable.

Garon disliked dealing with such chaotic and evil deities.

In this Dawn War, many gods had hidden behind the pantheon without contributing. However, those who not only abstained from fighting but also attacked the gods, were primarily chaotic and evil.

After conversing with the Lord of Mechanisms about the situation in the Abyss, Garon took the time amber sealing the Primordial Sun God and left the Metal World, heading directly to the Hall of Eternal Heroes.

Upon leaving the material plane and arriving at the outer plane, the state of the Primordial Sun God began to change. The cycles within the time corridor showed signs of disruption, indicating that the time amber alone could no longer contain it.

In the core hall of the Hall of Eternal Heroes, where the rules of the Hero Domain converged.

The silver dragon materialized and placed the time amber there.

Under the will of the Lord of Heroes, chains of rules gathered around, encircling the time amber, layering it with seal upon seal.

The disturbance from the Primordial Sun God subsided.

With the Hero Domain's suppression, even though Garon was only of intermediate divine power, it was enough to contain the Primordial Sun God.

However, this carried some risk and added pressure to the Hero Domain, as focusing its rules here would slow the generation of life energy.

But leaving the Primordial Sun God in the material world was no longer safe.

Fortunately, the goddess of the night attacked while Garon was dealing with a moderately powerful Primordial God, allowing him to intervene in time.

If he had been battling a Near Strong Divine Power Primordial, even if he sensed the trouble in the Metal World, he might not have been able to leave and would have lost the Primordial Sun God to the goddess of the night.

With the Metal World heavily guarded proving unsafe, other material worlds would be even more vulnerable.

To prevent the return of the goddess of the night, Garon decided to keep the Primordial Sun God sealed in the Hero Domain.

Once Garon ascended to Near Strong Divine Power, there would be no need for the domain's rule tilt, and he could strengthen the time corridor's seal himself. Given his current growth rate, it wouldn't take long.

After securing the Primordial Sun God, Garon looked toward the material world.

Back in the material world.

The Corrupted Mountain was fighting a newly arrived moderate divine power entity.

In Garon's vision, a being captured by the Corrupted Mountain was encased in thick, tar-like substance, adhered to the mountain's surface, struggling continuously, its divine light flickering due to the sticky material.

It was the Winged Elf Goddess, once captured by the King of Loathing.

"Why is it always this Winged Elf Goddess?"

Garon shook his head slightly.

Then.

In the material world.

Time suddenly froze.

A colossal silver claw emerged from the river of time, enveloped in temporal energy, descending with great force towards the Corrupted Mountain.

Having been weakened from earlier battles and now fighting the Winged Elf Goddess, the Corrupted Mountain was in a vulnerable state. It could only watch as the silver claw descended.

Boom!

The dragon's massive claw seized the Corrupted Mountain, uprooting it with a thunderous roar.

"Just because I left temporarily doesn't mean you're safe."

Garon had not expected the entity to stay instead of fleeing when he left.

Having spared it once, Garon felt this was a challenge to his authority.

Simultaneously, Garon cast the Time Amber Sealing Spell and World Weaving Spell, shrinking the colossal Corrupted Mountain and the giant dragon claw together, sealing them within time amber.

The entire process was seamless and practiced.

At the same time, Garon rescued the Winged Elf Goddess.

This goddess was now covered in a sticky, tar-like substance that clung to her robes, outlining her curvaceous figure in a rather sensual manner.
