Chapter 535: Black Emperor Caesar and Winter Dragon Amos

The multiverse is vast, and time is infinite.

Within these boundless realms and endless time, Garon knew that there existed some extraordinarily gifted, extraordinary interdimensional dragons. These were dragons like the black dragon Kaelie, who could, with a demi-god's strength, rival a not-too-powerful Primordial God in the material plane.

"If I can find enough of such interdimensional dragons across different timelines and bring them into battles against low-level and mid-level Primordial Gods, we could turn the tide before the material plane collapses, securing victory!"

Including Garon himself, he was essentially an interdimensional dragon. He understood the potential strength of such beings.

Of course, by interdimensional dragons, he meant those true dragons who had undergone positive mutations with special talents, not just any dragon that had mutated.

There are many mutated true dragons, but only a few experience positive mutations.

Even in this main timeline, few positively mutated dragons had developed to a point where they could catch Garon's eye.

Garon's efficiency in dealing with the Primordial Gods, especially those that evaded capture repeatedly, wasn't very high. However, focusing on summoning an interdimensional dragon legion and deploying them en masse into the main timeline to combat the Primordial Gods could significantly boost efficiency.

This could likely secure a victory before the collapse of the material plane.

At the very least, it would force the Primordial Gods out of the material plane.

Garon was decisive and action-oriented.

Upon realizing a possible solution to shift the course of the Dawn War, he decided to embark on a journey through time and space.

With his current abilities, even while traversing alternate timelines, he could stay informed about the main timeline through his divine avatar. This allowed him to return promptly if urgent matters arose, giving him peace of mind during his exploration of other timespaces.

With a thought, Garon detached some of his extraordinary divine power, transforming it into a stream of light, which he sent into his divine kingdom within the Sky Garden.

Due to the continuous battles, Garon had recently maintained a complete fusion with his divine avatar.

"Don't engage in combat. Despite having the solar authority, your combat power is still insufficient," he advised his divine avatar.

The solar authority required extraordinary divine power to wield. Garon had entrusted it to his divine avatar, and the solar wings on his back slowly faded into invisibility.

"It seems there are powerful unknown entities coveting the solar authority. Stay within the divine kingdom for now."

The divine avatar agreed, "Of course, I wouldn't want to fall again."

In the dragon's lair within the Hall of Eternal Heroes.

Garon's eyes glowed with the power of time, his platinum pupils faintly shimmering with the ability to perceive the past, present, and future. The silver dragon turned his gaze directly to the river of time.

The power of time continued to deplete, and time passed second by second.

Garon himself was an interdimensional dragon, knowing that the most gifted among them often had unusual souls, leading to positively mutated dragon bodies with exceptional talents.

Focusing on true dragons with anomalous dragon souls, Garon's vision swept through the river of time, searching each flow for these extraordinary beings.

Time Dragon Eyes scoured numerous timelines, inch by inch, for signs of interdimensional dragons.

Soon, under the continuous consumption of temporal power...

White dragons, black dragons, red dragons, blue dragons, silver dragons, gold dragons... Many dragons with abnormal, positively mutated souls appeared within Garon's sight.

Some were strong, some were weak. Not all could meet Garon's requirements; many could not, but not all of them.

"Able to contend with the Primordial Gods in the material world... suitable interdimensional dragons..."

After some time, Garon's gaze locked onto a particularly robust black dragon.

"Black Emperor, you'll be the first."

Having identified his target, the next step was to secure its willingness to join the main timeline and fight for him.

Garon considered approaches such as providing help in dire situations, offering rewards, or trading. He decided to use his Time Sight to observe the black dragon's past, aiming to find the moments when it was most vulnerable and in need of assistance, as well as the point when it reached the demi-god level and could wield the full extent of its power within the material plane.

Once he pinpointed the right time and space, Garon opened a portal through time and stepped into it.

**The World of Arcadia.**

It was a war, a massacre.

The forest was ablaze, wildfires crawling over the hills under the night sky, illuminating all directions.

A black dragon charged through the woods, using its body as a battering ram to smash through human armies. Steel-clad soldiers fell like paper under its powerful claws.

Unlike the typical black dragon.

This dragon, appearing to be in its youth, was exceptionally robust, far surpassing red dragons of the same age in strength. Beneath its iron-like black scales, layers of muscles bulged, filled with unimaginable power.

Its jaw was encased in a steel-like layer of keratin, covered with vicious spikes. Sharp fangs jutted out from its lips, and four formidable horns on its head resembled unbreakable battering rams.

Its wings were extraordinarily broad, nearly twice its body length, with an exaggerated wingspan.

Under the night sky, its thick, dark scales shone like black crystals.

This black dragon exuded a violent beauty, every inch of its body.

Rather than calling it a black dragon, it resembled a red dragon in black scales with an astonishingly powerful build.

Roar!

The black dragon opened its mouth and unleashed a fiery breath, engulfing a wide swath of human soldiers in a fan-shaped area ahead.

Curiously, throughout the entire battle in the forest against the human army, the black dragon did not cast a single spell.

A small, thumb-sized forest sprite clung to the inner side of the black dragon's scales, alerting it to any magical fluctuations on the battlefield, compensating for the dragon's lack of magical perception.

Suddenly.

As the black dragon rampaged, spreading terror and destruction among the human forces...

The air distorted, and a mature woman in a noble gown, with elegant features and a voluptuous figure, appeared from the smoke and flames, floating in mid-air. Her eyes gazed at the black dragon with a half-smile.

At her smooth, jade-like feet, thorny vines sprouted from the ground, twisting and curling.

She was the reinforcements summoned by the human army's leader.

At this moment.

The tiny sprite on the black dragon's neck showed a fearful expression and urgently whispered, "Run, run."

"Caesar, that's a dragon, a legendary ancient green dragon!"

Upon hearing this, the black dragon's pupils contracted sharply.

It was immensely strong but lacked magical prowess. While it could easily dominate a regular human army, a legendary green dragon posed a significant challenge.

After all, it was still young, not even close to adulthood.

After a brief exchange.

The humanoid green dragon gazed at the black dragon, her eyes glancing at the small sprite on its neck, and said, "Little one, give me that forest sprite, and I'll let you and your kin join the Green Horde and help you overcome your inability to cast spells."

Green dragons loved to eat forest sprites.

To them, forest sprites were a delicious treat.

Amid the fire and smoke.

The black dragon Caesar gently picked up the forest sprite, placed it in his palm, and then wrapped his long tongue around the tiny creature, placing it safely inside his mouth.

Without saying a word, this act clearly conveyed his stance to the green dragon.

On the other side.

Surrounded by vines and flowers, the noblewoman's face twisted from surprise to anger, her eyes igniting with visible fury.

"Curse you, wretched black scales, I will make you regret ever coming into this world!"

With a furious roar.

The flames in the forest stilled momentarily, then extinguished. Winds whipped up, and the mountains trembled.

Simultaneously, she revealed her true form.

A green dragon nearly thirty meters long, with scales like emeralds, appeared on the battlefield.

Upon revealing her true form, the green dragon cast a simple spell.

A star-like flame descended swiftly, engulfing the black dragon before it could react.

Amid the blazing fire, the black dragon's body smoked, its scales still glistening black, its wings rising as it charged at the green dragon.

Its body was incredibly strong, enduring the green dragon's magic, and it dared to launch a direct assault on the much larger green dragon.

The green dragon, wary of the black dragon's astonishing physical strength, despite being larger, avoided close combat.

In the next moment, magic surged, light sparkled.

A barrier of spells materialized, appearing between the black dragon and the green dragon.

Boom!

The black dragon's powerful body collided with the magical barrier, which cracked but showed no signs of breaking.

Tearing through the barrier with sheer physical strength was difficult.

The black dragon roared, reared up, and slammed its claws into the barrier, muscles bulging as it tore the barrier apart under the stunned gazes of the human soldiers.

Once the barrier was torn down, the black dragon lunged again, closing the gap to a mere few hundred meters from the green dragon.

With its incredible physical power, it believed it stood a chance of defeating the green dragon if it could close the distance.

However, reality is often harsher than plans.

The green dragon's expression remained calm, a faint smile on her face.

Another barrier materialized instantly, blocking the black dragon's path.

Seeing this, the black dragon quickly changed tactics, aiming to attack the human army's leader, turning its

 head to breathe fire.

Buzz!

The magical barrier intercepted the breath effortlessly.

The ancient green dragon lifted her slender neck, her scales glinting like jade.

"In the face of absolute power, you should abandon such petty tricks."

The green dragon said calmly.

With her magical prowess, the black dragon was no match for her.

Its formidable physique posed a slight threat, but only a slight one.

She then threatened the black dragon Caesar again, demanding its allegiance and using the orc followers fighting alongside it as leverage.

"The Stone Crow Clan will never yield."

The black dragon's orc followers stood firm, unafraid of death.

This infuriated the green dragon.

In her eyes, the black dragon, being a dragon, might refuse, but lowly orcs dared to defy her!

The green dragon sneered and said, "It seems you still don't understand."

"Very well, let me show you the power of the Green Horde!"

As she spoke, clouds gathered, and elements stirred.

Her magic surged, forming a near-black vortex, warping space around her.

This was a long-distance teleportation gate.

On the other side of the gate, the sounds of battle were deafening, with roars echoing continuously.

Wyverns, ogres, trolls, and other creatures squeezed through the gate, entering the battlefield in an endless stream, surrounding the black dragon and its followers.

In this dire moment.

An elderly orc, eyes gleaming with wisdom and holding a staff, emerged from behind the black dragon.

"Go."

The old orc said.

As he spoke, his body ignited with elemental flames, burning inch by inch, his magical energy turning into a powerful magical glow.

He was casting a forbidden spell.

Once cast, the caster would die without fail, their body, soul, and magic irreversibly consumed as fuel for the spell.

He sacrificed his life to cast a teleportation spell amidst the green dragon's blockade, creating a chance for the black dragon to escape.

To the black dragon, this old orc was its only spellcaster, a friend, mentor, and partner, not just a follower.

Watching the old orc's body burn, the black dragon's eyes filled with furious anger.

Anger at the green dragon and at itself.

At that moment.

Just as the black dragon and its followers were about to be teleported away...

The wind suddenly stopped.

The black dragon's eyes widened in shock, realizing that not only had the wind ceased.

The flames on the battlefield, the rolling smoke, the drifting clouds in the sky... all froze in place.

The green dragon's smiling, contemptuous face, her followers' snarling, shouting expressions, and the wary human soldiers... everything, living or dead, seemed to turn into lifelike statues.

Except for the black dragon, which could still move and think.

It was as if the world had been paused.

"What's happening?"

The black dragon's pupils shrank, its heart racing.

This was beyond its comprehension.

Suddenly, a deep, majestic voice, seemingly not from this world, from the depths of endless time and space, speaking in the ancient dragon tongue, reached the black dragon's ears.

"Black Dragon Caesar, will you accept my assistance and, in the not-so-distant future, repay the favor?"

The black dragon looked up at the sky.

At some point, a pair of radiant platinum dragon eyes had imprinted themselves on the heavens, their gaze deep and vast, reflecting the cosmos itself.

Under this gaze, the black dragon was initially bewildered.

But it quickly regained its senses.

It didn't immediately agree.

"Who are you?"

It asked in a deep voice.

"I am Garon Aurelian, the Eternal and Time Dragon from another timespace."

Garon answered plainly.

"What can you do for me, and what must I pay in return?"

The black dragon asked.

Next, an extraordinary scene unfolded before its eyes.

Sparks of elemental fire reignited, converging in the center, reconstructing the old orc's burned-out body, bringing him back to life.

"I will revive your friend, grant you a portion of the power of time, and bestow your little sprite companion with divine elf blood."

"In return, when you reach the demi-god realm, you must fight for me until you have slain ten demi-gods of equal power."

Hearing this, the robust black dragon was slightly stunned.

Not because the price was too high, but because it seemed too simple.

Compared to the gifts offered, the cost sounded minimal.

The black dragon had a clear understanding of itself. It knew its formidable combat strength among its peers. If it could become a demi-god, slaying demi-gods of equal power wouldn't be too difficult.

"You possess unimaginable power. Why do you need me to kill demi-gods?"

It asked, puzzled.

Garon replied calmly, "In due time, you will understand."

After a brief exchange, the black dragon Caesar agreed to Garon's terms without any formal contract.

It understood that any contract it knew of could not bind such a powerful entity, and if this mysterious dragon intended harm, it had no way to resist.

Garon, for his part, wasn't worried about the black dragon breaking its promise after reaching demi-god status.

Garon used time teleportation to move the black dragon and its followers to a nearby plain, away from the green dragon's encirclement.

He wouldn't kill the green dragon for the black dragon.

The enmity between the two dragons was for them to resolve in the future.

Garon granted the black dragon a portion of temporal power, enough to perform a brief time stop, and gave it a drop of divine elf blood.

During the War of Glory, Garon had sealed many elf gods, so he had plenty of such items.

"Black Dragon Caesar, remember our agreement."

With that, Garon cast a deep look at the black dragon, and the platinum eyes in the sky closed, disappearing without a trace.

The air began to move again, stars twinkled, and plants swayed.

"Huh?"

The resurrected old orc widened his eyes, looking around the unfamiliar plains, baffled by what had happened.

Seeing the black dragon deep in thought, gazing at the sky, he had no inclination to ask.

---

Main Timeline.

Dragon's Lair, Hall of Eternal Heroes.

The Time Gate slowly opened, and the silver dragon leapt out.

"The first dragon I chose, destined to be revered as the Black Emperor, Caesar, I hope you'll shine brightly in the Dawn War."

Interdimensional dragons grew rapidly, and Garon had chosen a timespace where time flowed faster. In the main timeline, he wouldn't have to wait long to call in his favor.

He had high hopes for this Black Emperor.

Next, Garon activated his Time Dragon Eyes again, searching for other suitable interdimensional dragons.

His efficiency was high, and by focusing on dragons with anomalous souls, his search area wasn't vast, which sped up the process.

Another interdimensional dragon appeared in Garon's sight.

Like Garon, this dragon was a white dragon, with siblings who were ordinary white dragons, living in a snowy, icy environment.

"Winter Dragon Amos... the same name as that little fellow I met in the Far North Icefield."

"It seems we have a bit of a connection. You'll be next."

Once again, the Time Gate opened, and Garon stepped into the timespace of the interdimensional white dragon.
