In the Hero's Domain, the Dragon Court.
Under the admiring and reverent gazes of the dragons, the victorious abnormal dragons returned.
At first, while the dragons in the Dragon Court sensed the extraordinariness of these abnormal dragons, they didn't believe they were particularly formidable. However, witnessing their ability to defeat quasi-medium power Primordials in the material plane left them in utter shock.
Their astonishment only deepened their admiration for the Dragon Court's lord, who had summoned these powerful beings.
The ancient demigod dragons in the Dragon Court, some of whom once considered themselves strong enough to face the Primordials in the material world, especially during the first phase of the War of Dawn when many demigod true dragons descended to aid the gods against the Primordials, now reevaluated their perspectives.
Having faced the Primordial Wild Gods firsthand, they knew how powerful these entities were. Ordinary demigods were no match for them and would often end up as energy sources for the Primordials, becoming a burden instead of an asset.
This war was a clash between true gods and Primordials, with little room for ordinary demigods.
Currently, the ancient demigod dragons and legendary dragons of the Dragon Court were mainly responsible for coordinating efforts and evacuating the dragon species affected by the War of Dawn in the material plane.
As for other races, the battles between gods and Primordials were too fierce, leaving many material worlds on the brink of collapse. Even the dragons could not afford to care for them all.
The dragon race, as the dominant species, led the charge against the Primordials. Many dragon gods fought on the front lines, but this did not mean the dragons would act as caretakers for all other races.
"How do you feel, everyone?"
"Fighting against the Primordial Wild Gods in the material world—did it satisfy you?"
The silver dragon, Garon, surveyed the area, his gaze sweeping over the abnormal dragons as he spoke.
"They were tough and strong. It's been a long time since I fought such intense battles against opponents of the same level," said the Red Dragon Queen, her chest adorned with deep red patterns from the Hellfire Fiend.
The other abnormal dragons agreed with the female red dragon.
In their respective dimensions, these exceptional dragons rarely found equals in their level. They were accustomed to fighting stronger opponents, and facing enemies of the same level usually resulted in a swift victory.
In the material plane, however, battling quasi-medium power Primordial Wild Gods presented a palpable challenge. Sometimes, they were pushed to the brink by these powerful adversaries, forced to fight back from severe disadvantage to achieve victory.
This high-stakes combat, balancing on the edge of danger, was something that deeply excited the dragons.
Every true dragon, regardless of their demeanor, harbored a deep-seated desire for combat and bloodshed. Particularly when facing formidable and oppressive foes, defeating such targets brought a profound sense of satisfaction.
Crushing vastly weaker beings might be entertaining initially, but it soon grew tedious with repetition.
For Garon, appearing in the material world meant the quasi-weak and quasi-medium power Primordials would flee immediately, rendering it uninteresting.
If not for the need to win the war before the material plane collapsed, he would have focused solely on battling the quasi-strong divine power Primordials, even if it meant being unable to kill or seal them.
"I'm curious, who among us was the first to kill a Primordial Wild God, and who has killed the most?"
"You all must be as curious as I am," said Claudius, the red dragon.
"Lord Garon, can you tell us the answer?" asked the silver dragon, Levis, politely, looking at the mysterious and powerful Dragon of Time.
The other abnormal dragons, though silent, also showed interest.
These creatures, even among their kind, were competitive and proud, each unwilling to concede superiority to the others.
Garon smiled slightly and said, "Since you all want to know, there's no reason not to tell you."
Competition was good. They needed to put in their best efforts in the war. Fear was not an issue, but holding back and not giving their all was.
"Isn't it obvious? It's got to be me, Baihe, the mightiest abnormal dragon across all dimensions!" declared Baihe, the Frostwing, raising his head high and spreading his wings like a victorious rooster showing off.
Garon ignored the somewhat dimwitted abnormal dragon and began to explain.
Xilong, the Plutonium Dragon, due to its powerful destructive and annihilative abilities, was the first to take down a Primordial Wild God, blasting it into oblivion.
However, the dragon with the most kills was not Xilong.
Despite its potent attacks, Xilong's tactics were somewhat limited. When facing Primordials that were cautious and focused on evading its attacks, its efficiency in eliminating them was lower.
The dragon with the most kills was the Black Dragon, Kaiser.
This Black Emperor's physical strength was astonishing, reaching demigod levels purely through its physique. Its attacks were swift and unparalleled, and it possessed a unique ability to nullify opponents' skills instantly. This unexpected edge allowed it to defeat even the top-tier quasi-medium power Primordials, turning the tables in its favor.
"Oh? Faster than me at killing a Primordial Wild God..."
The Black Emperor gazed at the Star of Death, sensing the searing, corrosive, and destructive energy within, a flicker of battle intent flashing in its deep, dark eyes.
"We should spar sometime if we get the chance."
Xilong also looked at the Black Dragon, the golden threads on its black scales glinting dangerously, grinning broadly.
Garon fanned the flames, saying, "There's a large arena here where you can all entertain yourselves."
True dragons were naturally combative, and the Dragon Court often held duels, so it was equipped with a large arena for the dragons to expend their energy.
"However, sparring should be done in moderation and only after the war is over."
"Until then, everyone should rest and prepare for the upcoming battles with the Primordial Wild Gods."
As he spoke, the Hero's Crown above Garon's head glowed.
With a thought, in the dragon-filled, cloud-strewn layer of the Dragon Court, stones and earth materialized out of thin air, converging and accumulating to form floating islands of various styles and shapes.
These floating islands were temporary residences for the abnormal dragons to rest and recuperate.
The abnormal dragons, exhausted from the prolonged battles against the Primordial Wild Gods, were eager to rest upon seeing the floating islands created by Garon.
However, just as they were about to settle down, a smaller, more delicate white dragon flew toward them, flapping its wings.
This white dragoness had a slender, graceful figure, her pristine scales gleaming brightly, flawless like a young dragon's. She carried the proud look characteristic of true dragons. It was the White Dragoness.
Having heard that her son had summoned numerous talented abnormal dragons from different dimensions, she had come out of curiosity to see these unique beings.
The abnormal dragons, noticing a white dragon far from reaching the legendary level daring to approach the center of the Dragon Court, exchanged puzzled glances.
In a place full of legendary dragons, a white dragon far from that level stood out.
As she flew, other dragons in her path stepped aside gently upon seeing her. Even the legendary and demigod dragons did not bother her.
Seeing the way the silver dragon looked at the white dragon, the abnormal dragons realized there was a deep connection between them.
"Garon, are these the abnormal dragons you summoned from different dimensions?" asked the White Dragoness, her eyes bright as she surveyed the abnormal dragons.
Garon, unsure of her intentions, nodded. "Yes, they are."
He added, "They are guests of the Dragon Court and are about to rest. Please don't disturb them."
Ignoring Garon's words, the White Dragoness flew around the abnormal dragons, observing them with keen interest.
"What are you doing?" Garon asked, sensing something strange about her behavior. He used a momentary time stop to snap her attention back to him.
Regaining her composure, the White Dragoness smiled slightly, folded her wings, and let her tail hang gracefully in a pose considered elegant and ladylike in dragon aesthetics.
"I was wondering if I could choose one of the abnormal dragons as a mate."
Her words stunned Garon. He looked from the White Dragoness to the abnormal dragons, deep in thought.
Garon was over 400 years old, having recently become an elder dragon. The White Dragoness, who was nearly a century older than him, was also an elder dragon. Yet, due to her overly critical standards and comparing every potential mate to Garon, she remained single to this day.
Seeing these abnormal dragons, the elderly White Dragoness found herself interested in them. Although she considered them slightly inferior to her son, they were still acceptable to her.
Despite her elegant and dignified demeanor, her eyes burned with fervor as she scanned each abnormal dragon.
There was Kaiser, the incredibly muscular Black Emperor, with a physique like a draconic Schwarzenegger.
Baihe, the manic and dashing white dragon with a chaotic, disordered gaze.
Claudius, the red dragon with a domineering and tyrannical presence.
Lesatos, the calm and melancholic gold dragon with an air of quiet sadness.
Xilong, the plutonium dragon, interlaced with golden threads among its black scales, dangerous yet beautiful like a thorned rose.
Amos, the white dragon, brimming with magic, his pale scales glowing with icy blue elemental light, rational and wise like a noble prince.
Even Renata, the Red Flame Queen with her demonic aura and regal, hell
ish presence, captivated the White Dragoness despite being the same gender.
Each abnormal dragon exuded extraordinary charm, with unique and outstanding qualities, like flowers in full bloom, each with its own allure.
"This is not up to me. You'll have to ask them," Garon said, amused.
The White Dragoness, lost in the splendor of these magnificent dragons, quickly nodded in agreement with Garon's suggestion. She surveyed the dragons, unsure which to choose, as each had a special appeal.
Undeterred, the clever White Dragoness closed her eyes, extended her claw, and randomly pointed.
Opening her eyes, she saw her claw directed at Lesatos, the gold dragon.
"Hello, I am Salia, the mother of the great Eternal and Time Dragon, the most beautiful and noble-blooded white dragon in the multiverse."
"Would you be my mate?"
Almost immediately, the gold dragon replied, "I must decline, Lady White Dragon. I seek a mate with a steady personality."
The White Dragoness's eyes widened in disbelief at being rejected despite her beauty and nobility.
"Hmph, it's your loss," she muttered, glaring at the gold dragon before moving on to another target.
This time, her claw pointed to Amos, the Winter Dragon.
"Hey, would you be my mate?"
The Winter Dragon politely declined, "Your magic seems lacking, with dim spell lights. I prefer a partner who can join me in exploring the truths of magic."
The White Dragoness's eyes widened further, almost unable to contain her anger.
"It's okay, Salia. They just have poor taste," she reassured herself internally. "You're so exceptional. Being rejected once or twice doesn't mean you'll be rejected a third time, right?"
Regaining her confidence, she continued her quest.
This time, she approached the robust Black Dragon, Kaiser.
Before she could speak, Kaiser said calmly, "Sorry, I prefer smaller dragons. You're not my type."
Rejected before even speaking.
Boom!
It was as if a thunderbolt struck her mind. The White Dragoness stood dazed for several seconds before regaining her senses.
"No way, I refuse to believe I'll be rejected continuously."
Determined, she decided not to choose but to propose to each abnormal dragon one by one.
"Sorry, I prefer red dragons."
"Apologies, but I already have a mate."
"Females would only distract me!"
"Um? I'm not male. Sorry, I can't accept a same-gender partner."
With each rejection, the White Dragoness stood like a vivid sculpture, lost in the desolate wind.
Shaking her head to clear her thoughts, she finally gave in to her true nature and began cursing.
"A bunch of stupid dragons, dumb dragons, blind idiot dragons."
"Hmph, even if you begged me, I wouldn't accept you now. I am the dragon you can never have."
Convinced that the abnormal dragons had poor taste, the White Dragoness, proud and annoyed, turned and flew away.
And so, the White Dragoness's courtship adventure ended with her leaving in a huff.
