Garon spent immense time and energy summoning the abnormal dragons from various dimensions, not merely for show, but to decisively end the War of Dawn.
Naturally, their adversaries were none other than the quasi-medium power Primordials.
Pitting them against anything less than quasi-weak power Primordials would be an insult to these mighty abnormal dragons from the myriad dimensions.
While the Winter White Dragon was preparing its spells, one of the Primordial Wild Gods had already fallen under the explosive assault of an abnormal dragon.
Back to the moment when the Winter White Dragon was still engaged in combat with the Heart of Shards, we shift to another material plane.
A Primordial Wild God stood, resembling a colossal toad, with quasi-medium divine power. This deity, known as the Lord of Rivers, boasted blue-yellow, moist skin with a glossy layer of mucus, appearing slippery and solid. Its body, towering at a thousand meters, looked like a mountain. Under its feet, vast rivers and marshlands undulated, spreading out and transforming the ground into a vast sea as it moved.
This boundless sea devoured countless lives.
Until an abnormal dragon descended from the sky onto the material plane.
This abnormal dragon had impenetrably dark, metallic scales and equally black eyes.
However, on the surface of its scales and in its eyes, countless fine golden threads, thinner than a hair, were embedded, crisscrossing like dense golden lightning patterns radiating outward. Additionally, the edges of its scales and pupils were lined with similarly fine golden edges.
Every move it made and every shift of its gaze caused golden light to ripple and shimmer. Accompanying the flapping of its massive wings, countless golden particles scattered like stars, creating a breathtakingly beautiful sight.
Yet within this beauty lay terrifying danger.
A particle, smaller than dust, fell to the ground.
Boom!
A deafening explosion erupted.
Brilliant light, scorching flames, and a powerful shockwave spread in all directions, carrying an invisible and intangible lethal radiation. The ground sank layer by layer, and cracks extended thousands of meters, with the golden flames destroying everything within their reach.
Just one tiny golden particle caused a significant explosion.
Now, millions of such particles surrounded the dragon's body, like a sky full of stars.
This abnormal dragon was called Xilong, a Plutonium Dragon, whose destructive abilities made it a harbinger of doom.
"Start running. I love hunting terrified prey," the dragon said with a grin, looking down from high above at the Primordial Wild God.
Hearing this, the self-proclaimed noble and ancient Primordial Wild God was momentarily stunned, then erupted in fury.
"Vile creature, do you know whom you're speaking to?"
The Lord of Rivers roared in anger.
Simultaneously, Xilong's wings flapped.
The sky filled with beautiful golden particles moved, roaring like a romantic and beautiful golden tide, surging toward the Lord of Rivers.
The Lord of Rivers' pupils contracted, sensing the terrifying destructive power of these golden particles and showing a hint of fear.
Whoosh!
The sea at its feet surged and roiled, with endless blue water rising into a massive, swirling water curtain. The water currents rotated at high speed, producing a piercing whistle.
If steel were thrown into it, it would be instantly shredded by the current.
The water curtain formed a circular shield, protecting the Lord of Rivers within.
At that moment, the golden particles arrived.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Blinding light and heat erupted, each explosion more intense than the last, as if thousands of suns simultaneously detonated on the ground. The dazzling light almost illuminated the entire material world.
From faraway lands, intelligent beings, terrified, looked toward the explosion, feeling their eyes burn from the brightness.
The engulfing sea evaporated in the intense heat, and the ground melted into crystalline matter.
When the explosions ceased, the Lord of Rivers was charred and covered in wounds.
"How... how is this possible?"
"I can't accept that such a tiny, insignificant demigod possesses such power!"
The Primordial Wild God roared in disbelief.
Despite its severe injuries, its flesh began to regenerate.
However, the regrowing flesh was plagued by mysterious forces, leading to problems.
Intractable limbs, tumors, and boils sprouted uncontrollably, turning the Lord of Rivers into a grotesque, horrifying monster.
The Lord of Rivers felt an overwhelming burden.
It tried to control its body, but the malformed flesh became a burden, consuming its life force and dragging its body down, rendering it uncontrollable.
"In my world, where I tread, all life perishes, and nothing grows."
"The ignorant fear me, revere me as the Star of Death."
"Do you think I'm bluffing?"
From the sky, Xilong looked at the struggling Primordial Wild God with a cruel smile.
Xilong was not the only one, but in any dimension, there were fewer than ten Plutonium Dragons. They were often renowned for their destructive power, comparable to mighty divine beings.
At this moment.
The Lord of Rivers suddenly opened its massive maw, its mouth filled with sharp barbed tongues shooting out like lightning, aiming straight at Xilong.
Xilong reacted swiftly, opening its mouth as well. The golden threads on its black scales burst into brilliant light, making it seem like a golden sun.
Boom!
Dragon's breath spewed out, engulfing the Lord of Rivers' tongue and continuing downward, enveloping the entire body of the Lord of Rivers.
Boom!
The ground shattered, and distant mountains trembled and collapsed.
Amid the wild howls of agony, the body of the Primordial Wild God was turned to ash and dust inch by inch in the dragon's breath, and then even the ashes were annihilated, leaving no trace.
The Lord of Rivers, among the quasi-medium power Primordials, was relatively weak.
But even so, it was still a quasi-medium power Primordial Wild God, and yet it had almost no resistance and was killed by Xilong.
However, Xilong's attacks were so explosive that while killing the Primordial Wild God, it caused far more damage to the material plane than the Primordial Wild God, and it could not repair the destruction it caused.
This creature specialized in destruction.
The Lord of Rivers became the first Primordial Wild God to die at the hands of the abnormal dragons summoned by Garon.
A minute or two after Xilong killed the Lord of Rivers.
In other material planes.
Amidst devastated landscapes, marked by ferocious battle scars, with mountains shattered and the ground fractured in the jagged mountain ranges.
Surrounded by collapsed mountains, the Black Emperor's massive, powerful wings gently rose and fell, creating gusts of wind.
Below its majestic body lay a mass of indistinguishable, putrid matter—broken flesh and bone mixed together, writhing unwillingly but unable to reform, as if crushed by an invisible hand. Under the Black Emperor's indifferent gaze, it finally lost all vitality.
Almost simultaneously.
A bizarre, giant tree-like Primordial Wild God, constructed from flesh, rooted itself in a vast grassland, draining the life from the surrounding grass and flowers, turning them gray and lifeless.
But the giant tree god itself was not much better off.
It was engulfed in roaring flames; its trunk and branches were slowly burning away. Not far away, the red dragon Claudius was breathing torrents of fiery dragon breath, covering the area in an unending blaze.
The Black Dragon Kaiser and the Red Dragon Claudius killed the Primordial Wild Gods almost at the same time, with the Black Dragon being slightly faster.
Elsewhere in the material planes.
Storm clouds gathered, black clouds like lead.
Above the vast ocean, the blue dragon Quest's body flickered within the storm clouds, releasing countless bolts of lightning. In the midst of the thunderstorm, a massive salamander-like Wild God was electrocuted into a charred husk.
In lush forests, under the bright sunlight.
Thorny vine dragons weaved through the air, dense and covering the sky and earth, binding a colossal, iron-made living mountain, imprisoning it tightly.
A green dragon, with scales gleaming like emeralds in the sunlight, coiled around the mountain, exuding dragon might.
In towering mountain ranges, surrounded by lofty peaks.
A silver dragon soared through the sky, its wings beating, creating a portal of eerie purple light, from which extended a deep, dark cannon barrel. It gathered strange energy and aimed at a heavily wounded, sea urchin-like Primordial Wild God, destroying it with a single shot.
Scenes like these were reflected in the silver dragon's eyes, bringing a satisfied expression.
Initially wary of the abnormal dragons, Garon had not entered the battlefield himself but observed these abnormal dragons' performances from the Eternal Spirit Hall.
Under his watch, the abnormal dragons showcased their prowess, using their unique abilities to swiftly overwhelm the Primordial Wild Gods they faced.
This was the first appearance of the Abnormal Dragon Demigod Legion on the main timeline, and their performance was stellar, quickly achieving remarkable victories.
The Primordial Wild Gods were unaware of the origins of these abnormal dragons.
Initially, seeing them as mere demigods, they looked down on these abnormal dragons. Even when the abnormal dragons displayed formidable energy, the Primordial Wild Gods did not believe they could lose to such insignificant demigods. Even when at a disadvantage, they refused to flee, believing themselves superior.
By the time they realized they were no match for these monstrous dragons and attempted to escape, it was often too late.
With the appearance of the Abnormal Dragon Legion, the gods of the Pantheon, who had been the primary force against the Primordials, became secondary players.
Compared to the gods, the Abnormal Dragons were fewer in number, but their combat prowess in the material plane was formidable, catching even the gods by surprise. In the material plane, this legion was like a sharp spearhead, suddenly thrusting into the heart of the Primordials, causing significant damage.
The constant destruction of the material plane had bolstered the Primordials' morale. They believed that victory was only a matter of time and that the gods would eventually perish with the material plane.
However, the emergence of the Abnormal Dragon Legion shattered their illusions.
In the material plane, targeting mainly the quasi-medium power Primordial Wild Gods, the Abnormal Dragon Legion dealt severe blows. Within a short period, the Primordials suffered heavy casualties.
This was the fourth phase of the War of Dawn.
In the three previous wars, both gods and Primordials had sustained significant losses.
The first phase was the most intense, with the highest casualties on both sides.
The second and third phases combined had casualties similar to the first phase.
Among the high-tier powers:
- For the gods, Ogma, the Lord of Knowledge, fell, devoured by the Night Serpent. The third-generation Goddess of Magic also perished.
- For the Primordials, the Chaos Colossus was destroyed by Tempus, the God of War. The Chaos Hound and the third-generation Goddess of Magic died together.
As for the medium and lower-tier casualties, they were also substantial and need not be detailed here.
After three brutal wars, in this fourth conflict, both the gods and the Primordials were significantly weakened.
In this context, the fierce Abnormal Dragon Legion's entry into the battlefield was like a dose of adrenaline for the gods and a dire omen for the Primordials.
Now, with the Abnormal Dragon Legion shining brightly, the tide of war turned swiftly.
The gods gained a deeper appreciation for the dragons' inherent strength as dominant beings.
Seeing the Abnormal Dragons in action reassured Garon, who had been somewhat uncertain.
"Dawn is upon us, the gods' dawn, and the darkness for the Primordials."
Garon continued to refrain from entering the material plane directly.
Garon's presence was too overpowering. While the Primordials would not immediately flee from the Abnormal Dragons, seeing Garon, the Eternal and Time Dragon, would prompt them to escape without hesitation.
The cat-and-mouse chase had become tiresome for Garon.
Moreover, it was not efficient.
Garon remained in the Eternal Spirit Hall, monitoring the situation across the material planes, analyzing the Primordials' strengths and weaknesses, and matching the Abnormal Dragons with the most suitable Primordial Wild Gods to eliminate.
Simultaneously.
After the Abnormal Dragons concluded their battles, Garon would send temporal power across dimensions, using Time Reversal to restore them to peak condition, allowing them to immediately take on other Primordials or replenish their energy during difficult battles.
Managing all the Abnormal Dragons simultaneously was a considerable strain on Garon.
The material plane's pressure diminished his energy significantly.
However, Garon, being in the hero domain, enjoyed an endless supply of life energy. As the domain's lord, he could convert this energy and provide it to the Abnormal Dragon Legion as support.
With Garon's assistance.
Each Abnormal Dragon could focus solely on defeating their targets without other concerns.
This unburdened combat was an exhilarating experience for them.
Furthermore, after their initial thunderous debut, the Primordials became wary of these demigod-level Abnormal Dragons. They needed more intense battles and greater effort to defeat each Primordial Wild God.
Garon initially selected weaker Primordial Wild Gods for them. As the battles progressed, the Abnormal Dragons faced increasingly challenging opponents, often needing to engage in fierce, hard-fought battles to prevail.
Some even faced setbacks against particularly formidable Primordials, unable to easily dominate all quasi-medium power Primordials like Garon could. After all, they were still demigods in essence.
However, each Abnormal Dragon possessed unique strengths, exceptional talents, and indomitable willpower, akin to protagonists in any world.
Even when facing top-tier quasi-medium power Primordials and falling into disadvantageous positions, they often managed to turn the tide in the end, achieving unexpected victories, and sometimes even breaking through their limits.
Because these Abnormal Dragons, while not invincible, were formidable and challenging. The Primordials didn't flee immediately but chose to engage in fierce battles.
Regardless, the Primordials, proud of their superiority, found it disgraceful to flee from mere demigods.
This often led to them missing the best opportunities to escape the material plane. When they finally decided to retreat, it was usually too late, and they were either killed or sealed by the Abnormal Dragons.
Conversely, the Primordials who were pragmatic and quick to escape when outmatched often survived by fleeing to the outer planes.
Thus, after each Abnormal Dragon defeated approximately four Primordial Wild Gods:
"Time for a break."
The silver dragon's eyes gleamed as it exhaled slowly.
Due to the excessive life energy his body had contained in a short period, Garon felt an indescribable sense of bloated fatigue. Even with mental control, his body instinctively rejected more life energy, akin to a post-orgasmic state.
The Abnormal Dragon Legion, having roamed and battled for an extended period in the material plane, was mentally exhausted. Their prolonged combat had begun to wear down their reflexes, making it harder to fight the Primordial Wild Gods.
They, too, needed rest.
Therefore, across various material planes, the river of time surged, enveloping the Abnormal Dragons.
In the undulating waves of the time river, each Abnormal Dragon vanished from their locations, reappearing in the first layer of the hero domain.
Garon had summoned them back to the Dragon Court.
Now, with the Primordials having suffered heavy losses in a short time and their morale plummeting, even without the Abnormal Dragon Legion, the gods were more than capable of handling them. In many material planes, the gods now had the upper hand, often outnumbering the Primordials.
