Players who had learned their skills first were having a good time hunting monsters. It was a given that hunting monsters was dangerous; however, it was much easier to handle them using skills compared to players who were using basic attacks.

It was not said that players couldn't raid or hunt monsters without learning skills. To be honest, the monsters could provide higher skill proficiency than practicing in open areas. Only players who had talent and courage could do that. For ordinary people, practicing the skill was the best thing to do

The young man, with his striking brown hair and a sturdy axe in his hand, spoke with confidence. His status as a beta tester earned him the trust of these rankers. After all, his knowledge of the game was invaluable, and he could easily carry the team to victory. "Follow me, and we shall reach level 10 in no time, and earn our place at the prestigious Academy."

Academy? Is this game, right? Don't tell me there's still a learning program here.

Slimes were liquid creatures, making it effortless for blades to slice through them. In contrast, other monsters have thicker skins and tougher muscles, making them a greater challenge to overcome."

After scouring the area for the elusive slimes, Arsen stumbled upon the unmistakable green door. Intrigued, he stepped inside, only to be hit with a shocking revelation. His next quest promised to be even more challenging than the last, as it involved claiming a treasure chest that was far from easy to obtain. With a sense of determination burning in his heart, Arsen quickly relocated to a safer area and studied the blue notification on his screen.

The task at hand was to eliminate the dreaded Elemental Slime.

This was no ordinary foe, and Arsen knew that he would need to summon all his strength and cunning to emerge victorious

Arsen's mind was set on claiming the rewards that awaited him, even if it meant facing off against the formidable Elemental Slime. With his eyes fixed on the prize, he steeled his resolve and declared, "I won't let this opportunity slip away. I'll take down that slime and claim what's rightfully mine!" His determination echoed through the silent surroundings, as he scanned the area for any potential dangers. Arsen knew he couldn't let his guard down, not when so much was at stake. He took a deep breath, steadying his nerves, and readied himself for the battle ahead. The hunt for the Elemental Slime had begun.

The coveted blue treasure chest was said to be located precisely at a distance of 40 meters from his current position. Though the thought of claiming the treasure excited him, he hesitated to make a move. After all, he had no way of knowing if the path leading to it was riddled with dangerous traps.

Furthermore, four slimes, the exact number he required to complete his quest, guarded the chest. He knew that taking them on alone would be risky, but the reward waiting for him in that chest was too alluring to ignore.

Arsen's mind was plagued with a nagging question - where was the elusive Elemental Slime? Despite scanning the area for what felt like hours, he couldn't spot its existence. However, time was not on his side, as he couldn't afford to linger around this place for too long.

He needed to make progress in this game if he wanted to justify his decision to spend his tuition fee on a gaming console. His parents would be furious if they found out, and he couldn't bear to disappoint them.

Desperate to earn something from this game, Arsen racked his brain for a solution. He knew he had to act fast and make up for his losses before it was too late. Arsen's eyes scanned the ground for any sign of traps, but the barren landscape offered no such opportunities. With a shrug, he picked up a small tone and lobbed it towards the direction of the slimes. He wasn't particularly interested in taking them on, but he wanted to see if there were any traps that he could activate.

To his disappointment, the monsters didn't seem to budge, and there were no traps in sight. Frustrated, Arsen decided to take matters into his own hands and eliminate the threat before facing the dreaded Elemental Slime.

Without a moment's hesitation, he charged towards the slimes, brandishing his weapon with deadly intent. The creatures put up a feeble resistance, but Arsen's superior skills and quick reflexes allowed him to strike them down with ease.

After Arsen annihilated the four slimes, he was disappointed to find that they had not provided him with sufficient EXP to level up. Despite being at 97% of level 2, Arsen had failed to progress any further. However, this experience did lead him to an important realization - the amount of EXP a player could gain from defeating a monster was based on a combination of factors, including the difficulty of the monster and the level difference between the player and the monster. Since Arsen had found the slimes to be relatively easy opponents, the amount of EXP they provided him was correspondingly low.

"What the hell is that?" Arsen muttered to himself in a deep tone, his eyes fixed on the creature before him. He marveled at the way the light seemed to dance across its rounded body, casting shadows that swirled and shifted with each movement. Despite his curiosity, Arsen was cautious - he knew that creatures like this could be incredibly powerful, and he didn't want to underestimate it.

Arsen was left speechless when he saw the monster's impressive health bar. Although he hadn't been focusing on whittling down the creature's HP bit by bit, he could tell that it was incredibly high. The number "130" seemed to taunt him, as if daring him to try and chip away at it.

Despite feeling a twinge of disappointment, Arsen remained determined. He knew that he would need to land a critical hit if he had any hope of making a significant dent in the monster's health bar. His mind raced as he tried to come up with a strategy, weighing his options carefully and trying to anticipate the creature's next move.

Arsen couldn't help but notice the huge level disparity between himself and the Elemental Slime. In this game, he knew that attacking a monster that was higher level than him would result in a 10% reduction in damage dealt. As he watched the creature carefully, he couldn't help but feel a sense of unease.

The blue and white light that coated the slime seemed to pulse with a dangerous electricity, crackling and sparking as if ready to strike at any moment. Arsen knew that this would not be an easy battle. He took a deep breath, trying to steady his nerves as he readied himself to engage the monster.

"If only I had a set of trusty throwing knives," he muttered under his breath, "then maybe, just maybe, I could take aim at the slime's vulnerable core from a safe distance." His gaze flicked down to the weapon in his hand, a pitifully small dagger that had likely only been wielded by inexperienced fighters. "But alas," he sighed, "all I have is this Newbie's blade."

The Elemental Slime wasted no time in pinpointing the player's location, its translucent body wriggling as it swiftly conjured up a barrage of glistening bubbles. The creature's attack resembled a water ball, but with a dangerous twist: the liquid within each bubble crackled with raw electricity, ready to shock any unfortunate victim who came into contact with it. Arsen braced himself, knowing that a direct hit from one of those deadly bubbles could leave him stunned and vulnerable for precious seconds, not to mention inflicting painful damage on his body.

Though Arsen had been well-informed about the Elemental Slime's capabilities, he had not anticipated just how lightning-fast its attack would be. With reflexes honed by countless battles, he quickly assessed the situation and made a split-second decision. Without hesitation, he summoned the Blink spell and vanished from the creature's line of fire in a flash of light. "I knew the Elemental Slime would be tough," he panted, his heart racing as he reappeared a safe distance away, "but this is on a whole other level. It's completely different from any other Slime I've fought before."

As soon as he reappeared beside the monstrous Elemental Slime, Arsen wasted no time in launching into action. With a fierce determination burning in his eyes, he thrust his meager dagger forward with lightning speed, unleashing the deadly stab skill with all his might. As the blade pierced the creature's body, a flurry of numbers -5, -7, and -11 - appeared above his head, indicating the damage he had inflicted upon the monster. However, the attack was not without consequences, as the monster's crackling electricity surged through Arsen's body, causing him to grimace in pain. The shock was so intense that even a few seconds of contact would have been enough to sear his flesh and leave him with a serious burn.

Fortunately, out of the three stabs, Arsen managed to hit the Elemental Slime's core once. As he expected, this monster's core was tougher compared to the common slimes, he had only dealt -112 damage. This damage was not surprising since the core was protected by electricity.

Initially, Arsen had planned to wait for the Stab skill to cool down before launching another attack on the monstrous Elemental Slime. However, he quickly realized that this was not a viable option, as the creature's HP had fully regenerated to its original state within a mere minute. "This slime has a frighteningly fast healing regeneration," he muttered to himself, his mind racing as he sought a solution. "If I want to win this battle, I'll have to deal a lot more damage than what I've been doing."Arsen knew that time was not on his side, and that he would have to come up with a new strategy quickly if he hoped to emerge victorious against this formidable opponent.

While analyzing the situation, the Elemental Slime had already gathered enough magical power and utilized it. A streak of electricity appeared, creating a series of explosions that damaged the surface and scattered rocks all over the place. Although Arsen managed to avoid being hit by the lightning directly, the force was still enough to send him crashing into the wall.

His body whacked to the wall before sliding. "Argh..." He groaned in pain as the Pain Perception was no joke. Furthermore, he immediately regained his footing and cast the Perfect Block.

Boom!

Another explosion transpired.

System: The Newbie's Dagger lost three points of durability.

At this point, even though he had the skill to block the attack but his weapon could not. I should fight head-to-head. Arsen continued to sidestep while slowly getting closer to the monster.

Bang!

At a short distance, the Slime absorbed rocks and repel them. Luckily, Arsen dodged all of them with a swift speed and attained a closer distance. Holding this battle for too long was not a great option. Why? Because he was simply giving the monster a chance to cast all of its magic skills. He had only one way to win against this monster, but this plan was too reckless and caused him to die.

But what he could do? If he didn't gamble right now, this monster would dominate him sooner or later.

"I have to do this! In the worst-case scenario, I will lose a level and wait for my character to revive."

Finally reaching the perfect distance, Arsen made his move. With lightning-fast reflexes, he leaped over the Elemental Slime and managed to lock it down in a certain position.

Even though the monster had a liquid body, it was not easy for it to escape Arsen's grasp. However, Arsen knew that the core of the Elemental Slime was its weak point and he had to target it to ensure victory.

As the Elemental Slime struggled to break free, Arsen focused his attention on its core. With every passing second, he inched closer and closer to delivering the final blow. The tension in the air was palpable as Arsen prepared to strike, knowing that one wrong move could cost him everything

This was why this plan was too dangerous, he have to endure the pain coming from electricity. If he failed to do it so, the outcome was already settled. Without wasting any amount of time, he cast the Stab skill and used the three stabs. After he consumed all of them, Arsen did not stop.

Despite having only 15% HP remaining, Arsen refused to give up. He continued to attack with all his might, utilizing the remaining stacks of the Perfect Block to reduce the damage. The intensity of the battle was at an all-time high, with both Arsen and the Elemental Slime fighting with everything they had.

Arsen finally stopped his relentless attack when he heard a dinging tone ringing in his ears. At the same time, he noticed a golden light coating his body as he leveled up. It was a moment of relief for Arsen, as he knew that if he hadn't leveled up after defeating the Elemental Slime, he would have surely perished.

With the battle finally over, Arsen collapsed on the ground, his breaths coming in short gasps. The intense fighting had taken a toll on his body, and he was left feeling exhausted and drained.

As he lay there catching his breath, Arsen couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. He had overcome a seemingly unbeatable opponent and emerged victorious. It was a moment of triumph that he would remember for a long time to come.
