Confusion alongside indecision clouded his choices as he watched the several displays of the beast themed mechanical systems around him.
He had thought having to choose a mechatronic familiar would be a simple process of his cognitive activity but he now realize that he had understimated the influence indecision has upon his judgement.
He had been pacing around the tower for more than an hour! An hour he could have used to do something worthwhile; not that having to choose a mechatronic familiar isn't important, but the time it is just consuming to come up with a familiar that is rather suitable for his Cyber Crux, now that is what isn't worthwhile.
Staring at the tiger themed mechatronic familiar before him, Regaleon feels the need to try pushing his luck one more time with this beast themed familiar.
This is simply the sixth beast he had to try within the space of one hour as all other beast were resisting.... scratch that, were not compatible the moments he tried syncing them with his Crux.
Synchronization Failure! That is the same result that keeps up popping anytime he tries to sync with a familiar all the time.
But he isn't giving up until he finds a familiar that is compatible with his Crux so he moves to the tiger to observe it's stats.
*Name: Silver lightning Mechatronic Tiger*
*Rank: A-level Duke Rank*
*HP: 20*
*Attack: 200*
*Defense: 150*
*Speed: 120*
*Mecha attributes: 10*
*Special Skill: High emission of intense electrical energy to dispel attacks and immobilize targets. Also utilise the ability to absorb and reconfigure energy to create blasts for mass destruction*
Leon felt his lips widen while his eyes brighten at the same time. This is what he had been searching for. This tiger is the right familiar for his Crux.
Besides the rank, the attributes of the tiger are not dissimilar to the abilities of his Crux which only means that the tiger is compatible with his Crux and the stat of the tiger is one of the best in Quatron.
What a miracle!
*Ding: I sense happiness flowing off you Master. Could the reason be the tiger before you?*
Suddenly, a masculine like voice sounded in his ears. Regaleon jumped in fright as he snaps out of his joy. He frantically looked around in a bid to search where the voice might be coming from, but so far, no one is in his sight except the bunch of other people who are deeply immersed in their quest for a compatible familiar.
Am I hearing things? Leon wonders, creasing his brows in thought as he turns his gaze back to the tiger before him.
'Hm, maybe I heard something' Regaleon shrugs as he chose not to dwell on the matter any longer.
Now where was he?.... Right, he was about to sync the tiger to his Crux. Thinking about this, Regaleon felt a sweet feeling bloom in his heart. His troubled search has finally come to an end.
Regaleon moves near the tiger to sync it with his Crux when the blooming smile on his face falls as he saw the same frustrating notification being displayed on the holographic screen before him.
*Synchronization Failure! Crux not compatible!*
How could this be happening?! This is the sixth beast he had tried to sync with today all to no avail. Why is he passing through this ordeal?
Synchronization is an important process that marks the relationship between a mechatronic familiar and it's master. It helps to connect them on a deeper level while establishing a link between the parties involved. Synchronization between the Crux of a mechatronic familiar also strengthen the abilities of the wielder while enabling them to grow stronger.
But now that he failed to sync with all the familiars he came across today, how would he ever boost the efficiency of his Cyber Crux.
And what the hell doesn't Synchronization Failure implies?!.
*Ding: It implies the fact that I don't appreciate you trying to connect a foreign mechanical system to me Master.*
The voice sounded again, this time, nearer to Leon. With this voice sounding again, Regaleon felt that this is more real than he had chosen to believe. After sweeping his gaze in the area around him for the second time, he figures that no one is trying to play a prank on him as they are all concentrated on the familiars before them, so where the hell is this voice coming from?!
*Ding: I must say Master, I am quite disappointed at you. We have spent five years with one another and you still don't recognise me. So disappointing!*
The voice sounds once again with a tinge of undisguised sadness in the tone it used to speak.
Okay, this is not a drill! The voice just said he had been connected to it for the past five years but during those time period, he was on an hellish island with his parents. From what he can also recall from those hurtful memories, the only people around him were his parents and a bunch of several aggressive extraterrestrial beings who had threaten his existence and his chances of survival.
Could it be that one of those disgusting aliens followed him home and are now speaking in his head?!
Regaleon froze at this thought as the sound of laughter reverberated in his ears.
*Ding: Master, you make me laugh and if I wasn't fused to your spine, I bet i would be rolling on the ground still laughing. Such a wild imagination that you have there!*
Fused to your spine! Regaleon caught the keyword in that sentence and a thought pops up in his mind.
How could it be? His own Crux is a living being and is now speaking in his mind.
