Chapter 46: The Choice

*BONNIE’S POV*

Bonnie felt her head pounding as she slowly started to open her eyes. The place was dimly lit and from what she could make out through her blurred vision, the room was empty. Well...almost empty.

She lifted her head and quickly discovered that she wasn’t alone. Her heart beat quickly picked up in her chest when her mind immediately recognized the person who was restrained in a chair across from her.

Her first instinct was to get up and examine her injuries, but Bonnie found herself bound to the chair she was sitting in. Her voice was weak as she fought through the burning itch that climbed up her throat. A thin layer of sweat beaded her skin.

“K-Karoline?”

Karoline whipped her head up, her eyes widened in startled worriment. Bonnie’s stomach twisted in knots when her vision finally began to clear. She hadn’t a single clue what she looked like at that moment, and nor did she care. Karoline’s face looked as though it had taken a serious beating.
