Kade wandered into the manor early that morning. Instead of having a car pick him up as his father usually would have done, he took it upon himself to head out to the manor. His father had him returned to his mother and denied his request a few days prior, but he found a reason to take some interest in the family business now. A curious fixation which was why he was there that morning. Exactly what he was going to tell his father for his unplanned arrival, he hadn't figured out just yet.  But Kade was clever and confident he would be able to think up something fast when the time came. 


"Mr. Monroe didn't mention that you'd be arriving today," Jamison’s flat, cold voice came from the stairs just off the foyer.
