Chapter 46: Vengeance

“Just this,” Kade said, leaning forward before he continued. “You should have come better prepared.”

Kade didn’t waste any time in making his move after that. He didn’t want to give Angelo a chance to try and think about what he said before he just decided to pull the trigger. He slid down in his seat and aimed a hard kick right for Angelo’s kneecap. An audible pop sounded and Angelo buckled under it with a yell.

As soon as he dropped to one knee, Kade kicked out again and this time caught Angelo in the jaw. His kick sent Angelo backwards onto the floor of the boat while his gun dropped to the floor beside him. Once he was disarmed, Kade used the strength he had left to throw himself onto the floor with Angelo. His goal was to get the gun before Angelo could recover it. It would be his only chance at surviving this encounter because he knew he would be out of time soon enough.
