Jamison stood outside the motel and watched the car pull away. He knew that Kade could handle anything that he was faced with. His Don was clever and witty, traits he had shown to Jamison over the time that they spent together. Even so, he couldn’t completely soothe the concern he felt watching the car roll away. If he could, he would have gone with them. But they needed some assurance that Kade would reach his destination safely. Valentino couldn’t be trusted, he hadn’t earned that just because he agreed to side with them.
