“Jamison!” Maya called to him just as he stepped out of the car. 


It had been a hectic ride out to the lakehouse, Jamison had urged Valentino to get them there as quickly as possible. He hadn’t felt that it could wait however long it might take to get to the outskirts of the city, not with how the call had ended. Their car had just come screeching to a stop on the gravel driveway when Maya rushed down the wooden steps towards him. Stepping out of the car, Jamison could already see the kind of battle that the two had entered in whenever they arrived.
