Chapter 29: Danger Days

It was okay, it was okay, she could do this. She just had to run to the warehouse, kill Moorehouse, run back, and pretend to be full to avoid eating Roland’s cooking.

Bless that knight, or ranger, whatever, but he was not a good cook by any stretch of the means. He always put too much garlic in his food.

And the worst part was, it wasn’t even a vampire thing. Lilith just hated garlic.

Oh, and she needed to stop by Willow’s house and make sure she could still walk. That—that was important.

Lilith ran as fast as her legs could carry her. Her dirk flapped against her waist as she broke out of the Underground’s boundaries. The night was still young, and she had plenty of time.

Though, Lilith to had admit, as she ran past the streets and city lights, she wondered if it was at all possible to buy a car. She always wanted one but getting an I.D for it would be next to impossible.
