Willow Faron was a girl with big dreams. She dreams of helping people and making sure they would come home to their parents after helping them at her clinic in Portland, Oregon. But the day after she opened her clinic/home, she found it robbed, and her robber was a vampire. 

Caught between two worlds and forced to serve the vampire as their only human doctor under a Blood Oath, Willow’s dreams have turned away with the setting sun. Only the vampire in question draws her further and further into the Underground, a fantastical world where myths and fairy tales come to life.

Venipuncture

They stayed there for some time, taking in each other’s taste before parting. Willow’s face was flushed with heat, as was Lilith’s. 


“That was…” Lilith’s mouth turned into a grin. “Quite a kiss.”


A blush came over Willow’s face. “It was my first…”


Lilith’s eyes widened, and she let out a giggle. “Hehe! Wow, really? I thought for sure you’ve had at least one lover before me.”


“I mean…” Willow pouted, causing Lilith to giggle more. “It’s more than that. I’ve been…really focused on getting my career off the ground that I…never had time for love.”


Lilith smiled and cupped her hands around Willow’s neck. “Well, now you do…” 


And at that, Lilith suddenly lost her footing, causing Willow to grasp her all the more tightly. She placed a hand on her head, and blinked once, then twice. 


“Oh, wow, I think I might need another checkup.”


Willow blinked. “Is that like, a metaphor for…”
