Chapter 27: Oaths and Promises are not always the same thing.

They stayed there for some time, taking in each other’s taste before parting. Willow’s face was flushed with heat, as was Lilith’s.

“That was…” Lilith’s mouth turned into a grin. “Quite a kiss.”

A blush came over Willow’s face. “It was my first…”

Lilith’s eyes widened, and she let out a giggle. “Hehe! Wow, really? I thought for sure you’ve had at least one lover before me.”

“I mean…” Willow pouted, causing Lilith to giggle more. “It’s more than that. I’ve been…really focused on getting my career off the ground that I…never had time for love.”

Lilith smiled and cupped her hands around Willow’s neck. “Well, now you do…”

And at that, Lilith suddenly lost her footing, causing Willow to grasp her all the more tightly. She placed a hand on her head, and blinked once, then twice.

“Oh, wow, I think I might need another checkup.”

Willow blinked. “Is that like, a metaphor for…”
