"See, that doesn't make a lick of sense to me. What would have a Goddess like Pandora so heated about a single mortal?" Vol said. "Was it just because he killed the Pandora Goblin?"

Pandora hissed, as if to acknowledge that fact was a kryptonite. "I AM THE MOTHER OF MONSTERS! TO KILL MY CREATIONS IS TO INVOKE MY WRATH. MY PANDORA GOBLIN'S ARE THE GREATEST OF ALL MY CREATURES. AS MY CHILDREN, I MOURN THEIR LOSS ABOVE ALL OTHERS."

"You're a fragment," Vol said again. "You mourn nothing. You are nothing."

The ivory-skinned woman smiled a strange smile, revealing a mouth full of teeth that were not at all human. Each tooth was jagged, and her fangs were those of a snake.
