To the front, Vol sent his Grand Fire Mages, and immediately, they began their bombardment.
The enemy were far enough away that they could not yet make out individual faces, but with the accuracy of the Grand Fire Mages, their fireballs still posed a good deal of problems.
They landed without issue, blasting apart a shield wall, and throwing away bowmen as they tried to rush their way to the front lines.
A single volley, and the Sea Serpents announced themselves. Flames grew, and explosions echoed out loud enough to rival the wind and the sea.
Vol looked amongst the ranks of men for the King and the Earl. They did not sit at the front on their horses and some of the other Earls that Vol had met in the past had. Instead, they seemed to cower away without announcing themselves. With their absence, there seemed to be no true target for Vol to aim for. He was left to just pick whatever men he wished for amongst the crowd.
