Amden along with Cilia carried by Clara terrific speed arrived back to the Vantistart manor in short few minutes.
None of them talked further about the incident at the auction hall.
Amden, muttering some few words, took his leave and arrived in his room and closed it shut.
His heart was beating frantically at the anticipation about the sword he had bought at the auction.
Without any further delay, Amden brought the sword out from his spatial ring and then summoned the cube from his subconsciousness.
He did not even get the time to react when with a flash of light, the sword was sucked into the cube. And then there was no further reaction from the cube.
Amden was bewildered on what he witnessed. After which, he again tried the same methods, which he had previously tried many times to get a reaction from the cube- sending his spiritual energy inside the cube, dropping his blood in it, rubbing it in his palm, etc.
But as usual, he did not get any result.
Amden, even though, felt a new connection settling with him. This was similar to the connection he felt with the cube. This new connection was what he felt with the sword.
But to Amden's frustration, even attempting to summon the sword using the faint connection did not yield him any result.
After few minutes of relentless tries, he gave up. Amden was at complete loss of words.
He felt that he had been struck in never ending loop of mysteries surrounding him. And not only the mysteries do not seem to end, every time he feels, he is about to find some answers, new mysteries pop up.
Amden felt extremely frustrated and angry.
With a sigh of defeat, he accepted that he would not be getting any answers in short time.
After his 'tiresome' efforts, Amden went to sleep.

Amden was lost in a deep slumber when a sudden jolt, a jolt to his soul woke him up.
Amden jerked opened his eyes. The moment he opened his eyes, he witnessed a jaw dropping scene in front of him.
The cube was floating in air. The room had been illuminated in light blue colour shade which was being emitted all around from the cube.
In the blue coloured hue, above the cube, a sword was floating. The appearance was the sword was completely different from when he had bought it, but even so Amden knew instinctively that this was the same sword.
Amden also felt that the mild connection he had with the sword had gotten stronger. Now the bond, the connection, he felt with the sword was similar to what he felt the cube.
Acting on his instincts, Amden felt and the connection and raised his right hand. In an instant, with a flash, the sword appeared in Amden's hand.
The sword no longer had its previous appearance. In place of the rusty sword, Amden what now had in his hand was a shining sword.
The sword was pitch black in colour. The hilt, the blade, everything was dark black in colour. Amden could see the resemblance- the sword and the cube seemed to be made from the same material.
The blade was long enough, for Amden's satisfaction, though it felt slightly short of what one would call a longsword. The blade of the sword was straight. Only that it curved slightly towards one side at the end of the blade. The sword was almost 4 inches wide; a width which Amden found to its liking.
The sword also did not have any engravings or writings on it; it was completely plain.
After studying the sword for few minutes, Amden jumped from his bed.
He stood on the floor and gave a vertical swing to the sword. With a 'whoosh' sound, the air split.
"Perfect," Amden muttered in satisfaction.
Amden was finally feeling better. He gave the sword a few more twirls, twists and turns and felt completely satisfied. He felt and moved the sword like a part of his own body.
But this was not the end of the sword saga. In few moments, a sudden influx of information assaulted his mind. Amden was familiar with the feeling.
He had been facing the same assault whenever he had received memories of the ancient god. The difference this time was that the information influx was from the sword.
The information was about a sword battle technique. The technique was called 'The Heaven Cleaving Sword Strike'.
The name of the technique awed Amden. He was further amazed when he tried to grasp the technique. The technique was really something that could cleave the heavens, if it existed.
Just that, it would be a very long time before Amden could reach that level of strength to unleash the full power of the technique.

Despite all the positive gains, a small spot of Amden's mind was still unconvinced and suspicious. The mystery regarding the cube was only growing further and now there was a new addition to it. The sword.
When Amden had bought the sword he had thought that maybe he could uncover some of the questions plaguing his mind but those questions had only grown.
He sighed and let it go.
For now, he had decided to focus on his training. From all his knowledge, he knew the world, the universe was not a simple place. The planet he was living on was a well and he was a frog in the well.
Raising his strength was the only option he had. He wanted to be well prepared if something undue were to occur.
He willed and the sword disappeared the next moment. Similar to cube, it was bound to his soul and could be kept inside his soul space.

Next Day, early morning, at dining table.
The Vantistart family were having their breakfast. Till now they had only exchanged the greetings.
Rexon was first to break the silence.
He expressed his thoughts, "Carters would not take whatever happened lying down."
Dramon scoffed immediately, "If they dare to do anything more, I would not mind cutting few of their heads."
He continued, "Do they take us for fools? They think we would have not understood their plan of building a stronghold near our city?"
"Despite out difference, we have always tried to remain clear of their path," he added. "They should not consider it as our weakness."
"That brat had the guts to come and act overbearingly in our city."
Clara chuckled in response, "I do not think they would go for confrontation, at least not immediately."
She further informed, "Moonfox Consortium have also sent their apology. They also have agreed to give that land as gift to you, Amden."
Amden laughed, "Grandmother after you threatened them to have the land as compensation, I do not think they had the guts to deny it."
A smirking grin appeared on Clara's face.
"Amden," said Rexon. "Go and visit the land."
"I have decided to build a villa complex at the site much grander than this one. Maybe in future we can develop the area around it as another expansion of Azalia town. Even if not, having a villa would be good in the northern part of the city would be a fine addition."
Amden nodded as he decided to make a trip to the land. Rexon further talked about some of his plans but ultimately left all the authority in Amden's hands.
