Annabelle stormed into Liam's presence, her voice laced with anger. "Why does my father love you so much? Answer me, Liam!" she demanded, but he remained silent, turning his back on her. Frustrated, she declared, "We'll see what the court has to say about this," and left.
In one corner of the courtroom, the determined prosecutor rose to her feet, ready to present her case against Liam. With conviction, she argued that the evidence against him was overwhelming. Witness testimonies and seized spell books were cited as proof of his guilt. Whispers of dark rituals and forbidden knowledge filled the air as she painted Liam as a manipulator, wielding dangerous forces that struck fear into the hearts of many.
Liam stood alone, without a defense counsel to speak on his behalf. Judge Sinclair, with a wise nod, granted the prosecutor the opportunity to call her first witness – Queen Annabelle. Annabelle took the stand, addressing the court with authority.
"Your Honor, I have known Liam for many years, and I have personally witnessed him engaging in forbidden rituals and casting spells that defy the very essence of our customs," she began. "He manipulates forces that strike fear into the hearts of most, using them solely for his selfish gain. For instance, he became a knight by illegitimate means and even caused the death of an innocent tourist at the Whispering Woods."
Before Annabelle could continue, King Edward burst through the courtroom doors, rage evident on his face. "How dare you people persecute my knight without my knowledge!" he exclaimed. Judge Sinclair intervened, addressing King Edward directly. "King Edward, your knight is accused of being a warlock," he stated firmly.
Interrupting, King Edward defended his knight, arguing that the victims were Evergreenas, not Avalorians. "It is my court that will decide his penalty," Judge Sinclair retorted. Before the judge could finish, King Edward interjected, reminding everyone present that causing harm to an Evergreena knight would violate their peace treaty.
With a willingness to maintain peace between the kingdoms, Judge Sinclair acquiesced. "Very well, you may have him, but we expect you to treat such a dangerous individual with caution," he said, to which King Edward replied affirmatively.
Annabelle seethed with rage as King Edward defended Liam in court. She stood up, her voice trembling with anger. "Your Honor, this is unacceptable. I demand that Liam be held accountable for his actions!" The judge looked surprised at her reaction. "We don't act irrationally in this court," Judge Sinclair said
"I don't care!" Annabelle interrupted, her frustration evident. Before she could continue, judge Sinclair interjected. "Queen Annabelle, may I remind you that King Philip is not dead, and you are not the supreme ruler." Annabelle's anger grew, as she tried to speak.
Annabelle! "Meet me outside," King Edward said sharply. Annabelle followed reluctantly, her distress mounting. "You disobeyed," King Edward said angrily. "Father, I have had enough of you trying to control me. You can't control me anymore," Annabelle retorted.
"Perhaps it's time I execute Collins for stealing," King Edward responded coldly. "You wouldn't dare," Annabelle replied defiantly. "Bring me the ruby in three days, or Collins dies," King Edward threatened. Annabelle the the avalorian and the evergreenas shall begin the war again she declared firmly.
"You are more like your father - both back stabbers. But your my father Annabelle asked confused" then your really a fool to think so King Edward said before turning away, leaving Annabelle standing there, a mix of emotions consuming her.
