Chapter 9

Frances sat in her room, her mind still preoccupied with thought's of the mysterious hacker called 111. she couldn't shake the feeling that she somehow knew this person. The hacker had left an indelible mark on France's mind, and as the night wore on, she eventually drifted off to sleep.

 moon university sent an email to all students, mandating that they join at least one club. Rin mammon, on of the students tasked by the university, to lead and create a club, began recruiting students for the newly formed club, "firefly's," named after her favorite song. Despite sending out flyers, Rin was only able to recruit two students in over three hours, while other clubs had already amassed dozen of members. This left rin feeling disheartened, especially when she saw the Catalyst club led by Jingfing Kwon, a famous trainee from a big entertainment company, attracting a crowed of eager students. Jingfing who had been Rin's long time singing rival since they were in middle school. But Jingfing continued her singing career and now a trainee. meanwhile rin who is struggling to recruit members began to worry. However, her concerns were alleviated when Jingfing approach her.

Rin attempted to evade Jingfing, but she couldn't avoid her when she called out to her. Reluctantly, she turned around and engaged in conversation.

" Hey, Rin Mammon? Its been a while! Two years, right?" Jingfing asked.

"yeah, about two years," Rin replied with a hint of sarcasm.

"I've been wondering what you've been up to since you transferred back in middle school, are you an artist now?, I didn't expect to find you studying at this university, but its great to see you again. So, are you also starting your own club?" Jingfing inquired.

"Yes, the president of the student council has also assigned me the task. Its quite a hassle, but I have no choice but to follow the orders of the seniors," Rin replied.

"understandable." so, how many members have you manage to recruit so far?" Jingfing inquired. Rin hesitated to respond but before she could answer, a member of Jingfing's club called her back to their station.

"i should get going now my club is quite busy and my members are already calling for me. Good luck with recruiting members, its not going to be fun." Jingfing said confidently.

Watching her confident demeanor, rin simply smiled at her, "You unpleasant witch" Rin thought with irritation as she gazed at jingfing.

Rin returned to her station and began distributing flyers to passing students. From distance, Achylys was approaching the university grounds in search for a club to join. As he walked, he unwittingly caught the attention of other students with is attractive appearance and strong aura. He suddenly stops at the fireflys club stall, Rin, who had been focused on recruiting and distributing flyers, noticed that her two new club members were frozen in place as if they had seen something unusual. She turned to see what had captured their attention and was also stunned by the handsome man looking at their club's poster.

"firefly'? what a interesting name.. are you still looking for new member?"

It took Rin a moment to respond, as one of her members needed to get her attention.

"Oh….. yes, yes. Are you interested in joining?" she asked.

"Yeah sure why not,"replied achylys.

Meanwhile, Frances was making her way to the club booths when people started crowding around her. She had a celebrity-like status at the university, and everyone wants to be close to her. Jingfing quickly noticed Frances and approach her.

"Frances? Hey, do you remember me? Its me, Jingfing kwon. We went to the same middle school, and I used to sit at the back of you."

Frances didn't seem to remember her, but with people watching she don't want to make a scene, so she acted like she did.

"Right, in middle school, I do remembered," frances replied

Jingfing kept talking to frances, but Frances was not interested until she noticed Achylys giving out flyers in the next club booth. This surprised Frances, the annoying man was giving out flyers, and besides him was a familiar face, Rin Mammon! Who she recognized immediately.

 Frances, Rin, and Jingfing had all attended the same middle school. But Frances only attended a year in that middle school because she choose to study abroad. Frances and rin who knew each other since childhood.

Jingfing who continues to converse, but Frances stopped her and excuse her self, Jingfing didn't have the chance to stop her.

"Hey! Busy girl," Frances said, which made Rin turn around. As she saw the girl who called her, her face was painted with a big smile- it was Frances Song!

"Frances? When did you get back?" Rin shouted excitedly.

" Not too long ago, I've only been her for like three weeks now." Frances replied.

As they talked and reconcile with each other, Frances kept taking glances at Acylys, who was standing right beside Rin.

As Frances entered the firefly's club, the long line at Jingfing's club vanished as people flocked to the new venue, much to Jingfing's chagrin. Over time more and more students joined Rin's club And after a long and tiring day, rin treated all new members to a meal at a nearby restaurant, where they all got to know each other. They ended up taking up every seat in the restaurant.

By coincidence, Achylys and Frances found themselves awkwardly seated to one another once again. Rin noticed the awkward atmosphere and raised a toast to lighten the mood. As they celebrated, Rin noticed Achylys was eating quietly and didn't engage socially. She asked him what is the reason why she joined the club. Frances, seated between them, was also curious why someone with Achylys demeanor would join a club with a seemingly feminine name and was dominated with female members like firefly's.

Achylys replied that he chose Firefly's because its name wasn't pathetic like others, which prompted laughter from everyone at the table. Confuse with their reaction, Achylys asked why they were laughing. Rin simply said, " that's very candid of yours," Wow your really cool. Everyone seems admiring achylys cold and straightforward personality. There reactions leaving achylys puzzled.

Frances excused herself to go to the toilet and rin accompanied her.

" You really save me today, thanks that you showed up I was able to recruit more to the club."

"What are you talking about? They joined because our club is unique, its not because of me" replied by Frances

"Well what ever you say I'm still thankful to you."

"Isn't that cold guy really good-looking?" rin inquired

Frances was taken a back by the question. "Huh? I don' know what you're talking about," she replied

"i mean the guy sitting next to you, what's his name again? Achylys? his aura seems very manly and cool. Yeah I forgot he's also a computer science major in the class A, so you already knew him already?" rin pressed.

Frances dodge the question and ignores Rin. "Hmmmm, your silence and the way I noticed you kept looking at him, does it mean you like him?You can't lie to me I can read you from head to toe," rin prodded.

With that question, Frances accidentally spilled water on her clothes.

"what's with that look?" Rin asked as Frances glared at her fiercely.

"Hey, I'm just kidding," Rin said as she burst in laughter.

"What are you talking about? I'm Frances song, I'm unrivaled, do you honestly think I'd Be interested in someone so ordinary? don't be silly with those ideas.

"Okay, okay, lets go back now," Rin suggested.

As they returned to the dining hall, Achylys was already surrounded by women trying to know him.

"This pathetic girls," Frances thought to herself. Her mood changes as she told them to move away.

"Excuse me, move away and go back to your table, frances asked, but it seemed that nobody was paying attention to her, which only serve to increase her irritation. "HEY!" she shouted, capturing everyone's attention.
