Alora had never seen a store that big. Ally and Zeke were roaming the toy sections and buying the unthinkable. She didn't even know when two men began gathering all the toys that they had raided the shelves off. Austin dragged her to a boutique.
"Pick a dress. Any dress." She began looking at the price tags while Austin face-palmed himself. "Lora, I said pick a dress not check the price tags. Why are you checking them? Do you want to pay me back?" He raised an eyebrow.
"No." Her face became pink.
"Good. Now, find the dresses that suit you." At this rate, he could win any argument.
She walked around and came back moments later with a hand full of pink clothes.
"What's it with you and pink? Give me those." He took the clothes and checked the size. He hated pink. "Come with me."
He pulled her and took several dresses of different colours. Red, blue, black, gold, those were his favourite colours. They must be designers.
"Austin, are you sure? I can't wear designer gowns." Alora complained.
"Yes, you will. We haven't chosen jewellery, bags or shoes, so, you better get a move on." He gently pushed her into the dressing room.
"How do I look?" She asked, innocently.
"Beautiful. Gucci, Burberry and Dior fit you." He smiled and kissed her forehead. "I promise to buy the world for you."
He whispered before skipping off. She was a bit shocked but hurried after him. He didn't forget to get something for his 'in-laws.' After all, who was going to stop him.
After choosing shoes and bag, they moved on with accessories. Austin wanted diamonds, rubies, pearls, sapphire. The best money can buy.
"Austin, I don't wear jewellery." She stuttered, gazing at the sparkling emeralds.
"Of course you do." He placed a necklace in her palm. "Try it on."
"Promise me we would never do that again." Alora said as she entered Austin's car.
"I am sorry, my love." He slammed the booth and kissed sleeping Zeke. "I can't promise you that." He began driving.
"I am sure we must have maxed out your credit card." She grumbled and sank into the seat.
'She is so beautiful.' Austin thought as she babbled.
"... and did you see how the sales lady was glaring at me? We must have bought that store. How many things did Zeke buy? It was half of our countries GPA, I am sure, blah, blah blah."
All he could see was a princess lost in the thought of his bank account.
"Austin, are you listening to me?"
"Yes, my love." He nodded.
When they had taken everything into the house, they both sat on his car. Lorna had seen the two but quietly snuck away.
"I can't let you shop for me. That's unreasonable. I mean..."
Austin leaned closer and kissed her. Her lips were so soft.
"Will you be quiet?"
She nodded and stared into the sky. A thousand thoughts were bouncing of her head. She would have answers.
