Snow Progress

Walking through Dimension B again, we noticed something strange, there was suddenly snow all over the place.

"Snow?" said Lucas.

"Where the heck are we?" asked Kia.

"Hell." answered Mikaela.

"Um, I think there's too much snow here." responded Jean.

"Whatever the reason for this is," I said, "let's just keep going forward."

"Do you think that maybe some kind of snow world might be involved?" asked Christina.

"It's entirely possible." Lucas.

"Let's see if we can find something or if the results will be the same as always." added Jeff.

"Who knows if we'll make any actual progress." commented Charles.

"Well," said Iris, "we do know that there's some masked guy involved."

"I can't believe it…" said Kia, "He really… killed all those people…"

"We'll do everything in our power to prevent this from continuing." I said.

"Are you gonna be alright?" asked Christina.

"I don't know." replied Kia, "I can't even remember why I was there."

"How about this way?" I suggested, pointing at a door.

"Sounds good." responded Lucas.

We all went through the door and suddenly we were in an area completely surrounded by snow.

"Ah, it's cold." I commented.

"Of course it's cold." replied Jean, "What were you expecting?"

"I don't know," I said, "I just wish I had prepared."

"Don't eat any of it." said Justin.

"W-Why would we be doing that!?" exclaimed Lucas.

"Especially not the yellow-" started Justin.

"We're not kids!" exclaimed Christina.

"Or the brown-" he continued.

"Justin, that's enough." I said.

Our team walked and soon found ourselves near a small village. There were a bunch of houses made out of wood and in the center of it all was a fire pit with a fire going. Sitting right there was Emils.

"If I didn't know any better," said Cerise, "I'd think you were following us."

"Heh." he said, "I don't know what you're talking about."

"So, what brings you here?" asked Lucas.

"I figured this place is the least likely to get attacked by the masked man." answered Emils, "However, we should still keep our guards up."

"Right." I replied.

"Have you made any progress with your investigation?" asked Christina.

"Can't really say I have." the man responded.

"If you're traveling between dimensions," said Iris, "you'd know about Dimension B, right?"

"That's correct." he said.

"Do you know anything about why there's suddenly a bunch of snow?" asked Jean.

"Traveling between multiple worlds within a short time frame can cause all kinds of weird effects in there," he said, "though the snow is probably my fault."

"What do you mean?" asked Clara.

"When I got here, I fought a giant ice monster and then during that fight, a ton of snow ended up going through the exit." answered Emils.

"Thanks for your help." said Lucas.

"Why don't you stay here for a little while?" suggested Emils, "You've been wandering around for a while."

"Uh, yeah, I guess that's true." I said.

"As much as I want to get through this," said Christina, "we better do what we can to keep ourselves from passing out."

"I guess we'll stay for now." said Lucas, "We can continue tomorrow."

Everyone was a little uncertain at first, but in the end, we all agreed. Emils led us into the largest wooden house, which happened to be an inn. We got ourselves checked in and we got our own rooms. When we woke up the next morning, we all ate breakfast together before heading out. However, something was a bit strange. Lucas had a strange piece of paper sticking out of his pocket.

"Um, Lucas?" I said, "What's in your pocket?"

"Oh, this." he said, "I didn't have time to read it, so I just left it there."

"How long have you had that?" asked Christina.

"I don't know." answered Lucas, "I didn't even notice it until Emils woke me up."

"A strange paper in your pocket?" responded Emils, "It might be important. To solve this mystery, we're going to need all the information we can."

"Right." Lucas replied.

He pulled out the paper and took at what it said: "Magia Ruins Side B".

"What…?" responded Cerise.

"Why would we suddenly…?" started Clara.

"It makes no sense," commented Justin, "it might just be a prank."

"Not necessarily," responded Christina, "remember what Emils said? We need as much information as we can get."

"But what does it mean?" asked Jean.

"Since it says Magia Ruins… does that mean we need to go where the town once was?" asked Charles.

"But then we have to ask what it means by 'Side B'..." said Jeff, "Justin's right about it not making sense."

"What is everyone talking about?" asked Kia.

"I forgot you were even here." responded Justin.

"Oh, don't be like that!" replied Christina.

"Did something catch your attention?" asked Charles.

"Magia… I feel like I've heard it somewhere before." the girl replied.

"You too?" responded Clara.

"Well," I said, "we're not going to get answers by standing around."

"He's right." said Lucas, "Let's get going."

We were lucky that we didn't get into any battles in that snow world. All we did was talk and rest. Other than that random paper that Lucas ended up with, we didn't really find anything that important. We ended up back in Dimension B and headed in the direction of our own world, fighting a few monsters on the way. Eventually, we made it out and it was clear that Cerise wasn't too excited about it.
