Chapter 60: The Arrival Of The Raid Group And The Rematch With The Assassin +1

Upon hearing about the importance of Ether Jayven realized how wasteful he was when using it.

{Not really, it is-.} As Phenex affirmed his thoughts it suddenly noticed something

And this wasn't just any people they were the raid group who didn't participate in helping the civilians. 

"Tch, so it was conquered in the end."

"Is he the one who conquered this or was he the only survivor?"

"Who cares we need what we lost back."

Arriving in the boss room the group started to be annoyed as they noticed that the Dungeon ahs been conquered before they could, except for one.

"Huh? Kid, you are alright thank goodness." 

Said the leader of the civilian protectors and seeing him also surprised Jayven at the same time made him confused.

But another interjected hearing his words. "Are you serious right now? Thank goodness. That kid stole our kill!"

"That's right why are you like that?"

"Me? Aren't you guys being greedy here? he is the one here meaning this is his accomplishment."

"You can't be serious; do you think someone as young as him can conquer this dungeon don't make me laugh."

"That's right it is better for us to get the rewards for this dungeon than that powerless kid."

As they said that they pushed the man to the corner of the dungeon making a bump into the walls of the place. And the group then walked to Jayven giving their demands. 

"You come here this instant kid give us all that you have and we will be sparing you. From the looks of it, you have wasted a great amount of your stamina, right?"

"That's right kid you better do what's good for you or else."

"Then you better heed my words if not."

They continued to threaten Jayven but he just looked at them prepared for something.

"You want to do this the hard way. Bring it on."

Seeing his stance, they thought he was going to fight them, but that was not the case.

Woosh, with a sudden sound, Crazy Blade attacked Jayven. Then the sound of metal resounded the whole area.

"So, this is where you were. I don't know how you finish off the boss, but sorry about this as I need to finish you off. So, stand still you bastard!"

"Stop talking nonsense and try it if you can."

"Don't get so full of yourself just because you could take on a few of my attacks kid!"

And after a few exchanges, the assassin then assessed the situation. And noticed that he had grown stronger than before.

"Tch, I don't know what happened but you did grow stronger, no wonder you can conquer this soon-to-be S-rank dungeon. Man, I need to get paid extra for this."

"S-rank?"

"This dungeon is at the level of a legendary S-rank."

"That's impossible only a special type of dungeon can be like that and for that to happen at this place."

Then they looked at one of their allies who was responsible for this as they saw his hands that formed as a spike and on his face, it was clear madness.

With that as the last thing they saw they lost the light of their eyes and died except for one guy who was pushed to the wall earlier

"This is full of unexpected events. Either way, I need the Cursed Artifact, kid to give it to me and I might spare your life."

As the traitor was demanding this the Crazy Blade intervened and spoke.

"Can you wait? I need to finish my job first."

"I can't once this kid destroys this place then we will get caught but if we can control it then that's another matter."

"I see since this kid is the one using it, we have no control."

Listening to the words of the member of the demon activist the Crazy Blade realized that they were not the ones in control.

"That's right so get out of my way and let me finish him off."

"How about this? Let's do it together that way we can finish this fast."

"Agreed."

"Oh, you guys are ganging up on me huh? Well, let's see if you can do more than that after this."

Seeing them work together Jayven felt like taunting them to gain control of this battle. As though answering his provocation the two made their move.

The two then attack Jayven but he doesn't care as he defended and fought back against the two. Later Phenex voiced its concern.

{Master, you are not gonna last long since you became weak from the previous battle.}

"I have you right?"

Hearing Phenex's concern he gave a confident answer which made it happy and then it explained how its ability works.

{I won't let you down then, let me tell you what I can do. I currently possess two skills that are at your disposal one being passive and the other one an active.}

"Okay, what are they and what could they do?" As Jayven was blocking and dodging their attacks, he asked Phenex about its abilities in detail.

"My active skill is called . I can make a soundless melody that only certain targets can hear. And the targets will have their power boosted. The passive is the . With this, you can have an affinity with flames.

"Oh, that's nice but I don't know any fire spells."

"Don't worry master these two are a set effect once you activate the Silent Tune. All flame users can have an increase in fire effects with their every attack."

"Wait so that's the reason why I kept receiving burn effects? Even when I dodged your attacks as long, as I was slightly hit then I got the burn status."

"Yes, isn't it obvious?"

"Scary. And here I thought it was just because it was because your flames are strong."

Pushing through their limits the two continued to fight Jayven at first, they thought the kid was exhausted from fighting the previous boss but during the exchange, they noticed how hard his defense was.

Jayven was able to locate their attacks and effectively defend and avoid them. So, their only choice was to wait and tire him down.

But that plan became busted when Jayven learned of Phenex's ability. So, upon activating it the battled tilted to his side and he was able to give counter-attacks though not so effective.

"What is this?"

"He got stronger?"

"Wait look at his waist."

Confused about how he was able to gain such an urge for power even though he was already using Ether. Then the Demon activist noticed the cloth that was burning at his waist and spoke.

"That's the cursed artifact, no wonder he got stronger, it might have the ability to enhance its user."

"So that's why he can fight against us who have already formed mana cores." 

"Not to mention the burn side effects he has given us."

"Yeah there's that too, huh?"

Hearing the reason, the assassin was then left astounded by the reason and started to think of ways to weaken Jayven.

And after careful deliberation and planning Crazy Blade suddenly thought of an idea after looking at his surroundings.
