Tournament.

In the coliseum-like stadium, Chang Li and Fengying watched as Alex rested on a bench. Chang Li was filled with anxiety about the tournament ahead.

"Hey, Zhi Li, do you think we will be able to win this battle?" Chang Li asked with a worried tone.

Alex, however, seemed uninterested and exhausted from his recent workload. He was sprawled on the bench, his eyes closed.

"Pfffff..." Alex's response was a dismissive snore, signaling that he had fallen asleep right then and there. He had been swamped with assignments and responsibilities, from studying to teaching Fengying and sparring with the son of Sect Master. The workload had taken a toll on him, leaving him utterly drained.

"Let him rest; he's been working tirelessly," Fengying said, smiling. She understood Alex's exhaustion and knew he had recently taken on the responsibility of writing reports for the elders, a task that further added to his fatigue.

Chang Li and Fengying allowed Alex to rest. Fengying found Alex's dedication and hard work admirable, even though it made him tired.

Suddenly, a booming voice filled the stadium, causing everyone's attention to shift. The voice belonged to a man standing in the middle of the coliseum, his hand holding an inscription that amplified his voice.

"Aghhh!!!" Alex jolted awake, startled by the loud announcement. He quickly scanned his surroundings, remembering where he was, and then turned his gaze toward the large window overlooking the arena.

"You're awake, sleepyhead. The tournament is starting," Fengying teased, her smile remaining on her face.

Alex mumbled a response, but his disinterest in the tournament remained evident. He had little enthusiasm for a competition he considered a joke, where he could effortlessly overpower most of the participants.

"I'm so nervous," Chang Li admitted, trembling in his seat. He was genuinely afraid right now.

Alex glanced at Chang Li with a perplexed expression. Whenever Chang Li used his powers, he was worried about unintentionally injuring others. His invisible cutting technique was exceptionally lethal, and only his limited cultivation prevented him from causing accidental harm.

"Yes, just believe in yourself," Alex advised, his tone reassuring, before promptly returning to sleep.

Chang Li and Fengying exchanged glances, understanding that this was Alex's nonchalant attitude.

As the tournament proceeded, fights broke out among the disciples. Most participants were weaker, and Alex's assessment held true. He remained uninterested, scanning the elders surrounding the arena instead. They were vigilant, hidden in the shadows, and focused on ensuring nothing like the unexpected formation incident occurred during the tournament.

Sect Master Lin was taking no chances, deploying powerful formations to shield the area from external threats. Additionally, they were ensuring that no power leaked out of the arena to safeguard the secrets of the sect's disciples. Sect Master Lin's primary concern was not external attacks, but rather internal ones, from those who might seize an opportunity to strike at him.

In the Sect Master's building, Sect Master Lin and Old Chang stood on a cliff, gazing down at the arena below. They watched as the disciples fought each other.

"They seem talented, don't they?" Old Chang remarked, observing the ongoing battles.

Sect Master Lin, however, displayed an uncharacteristic discontentment. "Don't make me laugh. It's as if the entire generation's luck has been absorbed by just a few individuals. Even my generation had more geniuses than this one... it's quite strange."

Old Chang didn't hold back his critique. "You're not one to be saying that, Sect Master Lin."

"What do you ---" Sect Master Lin got interrupted.

"You have a brilliant child, you had 3 of them actually, and not only you didn't give them enough support for their talents to bloom you let one of them fall into the hands of The Empress and one of them died in the hands of THEM..." Old Chang Said this.

Sect Master Lin clenched his fists... "You... how dare you talk to me like that, i am a Sect Master." He said this but didn't do anything.

"But it doesn't make the statement untrue, you failed as a father and succeded as a Sect Master... you chose what you wanted to be but forgot the second one..." Old Chang said this with a sneer, he saw the Son Sect Master had that, talented beyond belief and stupid, he was described like this in Elder Circle, but many other great people were stupid in the past, and that didn't take away from their achievements.

Sect Master Lin clenched his fists, feeling the sting of Old Chang's words. His gaze held a hint of pain.

Back in the arena, it was finally Alex's turn to fight. He stood up as his name was called.

"ZHI LI VS. JI NING!!!" the announcer declared.

Alex made his way to the arena, where he faced Ji Ning, a burly man wearing gloves that resembled boxing gloves. Ji Ning appeared anxious, unsure of what to expect from his opponent. Alex's fame was limited to the inner and core disciples in the sect, but unknown to most. Ji Ning was supported by a Core disciple who gave him an assessment to make sure to figure out Alex's strength So that was his goal coming towards him to fight him, Ji Ning took a deep breath and pointed his gloves with his fighting stance.

As the fight was about to commence, Ji Ning hesitated, seemingly paralyzed by fear.

"Hey, are you okay, Ji Ning?" the announcer inquired, puzzled by Ji Ning's sudden inaction.

However, a loud sound echoed through the arena before any response could be given.

BANG!!!

Ji Ning was sent flying backward, unconscious. The audience, as well as the announcer, were left in shock. The entire incident had happened too swiftly for anyone to comprehend. it was like Alex punched him invisibly.

After a few seconds, the announcer declared, "WINNER, ZHI LI!!!"

Alex sighed and returned to his seat, his expression revealing his disinterest in prolonging the fight. He had swiftly defeated Ji Ning using the Aura Weaponizing Technique, a move that left no room for his opponent to respond.
