Once Peter gingerly placed his hands on Ike’s palms, he swiftly withdrew his hand like a snake recoiling and flicked his fingers in alarm.

“Come on, he isn’t dead,” Micah remarked coolly. “Open his hands.”

Peter nodded, mustering his courage, and cautiously reached toward Ike’s hands once more. This time, he persisted, eyes clenched shut, anticipating the worst.

But when he finally opened his eyes, both he and Micah were left agape.

Before them lay an exquisite, sparkling blue orb, adorned with what appeared to be a subtle eye-shaped imprint.

“The Heather Eye,” Micah muttered, a grin spreading across his face.

“We’ve just struck gold,” he declared, an air of triumph in his voice. “And that means, this is Dr. Vicks!”

Their euphoria, however, was short-lived, and their expressions rapidly shifted, alternating between the miraculous orb and the unconscious scientist. They couldn’t afford to waste a moment.

“We need to help him!” Micah urged urgently.
