I strongly suspected that the boss organized this event on a whim because I got sick.

I suffered a double loss.

I sighed, took a gulp of water from the table, and sighed again helplessly.

After thinking for a while, I messaged Noah.

"Did you organize the event for our company to come to play at your billiard hall?"

He replied in seconds: "You guys are coming?"

Looking at his response, I felt like I might have been overthinking things.

I replied, "No worries."

Then, he asked, "So you're coming?"

Tsk, tsk.

The boss personally made the announcement, so could I not go?

I didn't respond to him, but I didn't anticipate a call either.

"Does your company want to come to the pool court?"

I cleared my throat, trying hard not to let him sense anything strange, "Yeah, the boss said we should participate more in sports to exercise our bodies."

Before I finished speaking, I heard him ask in a deep voice, "Are you crying?"
