Barnacle Foie Gras

I was shown to the easternmost room on the third floor.

Calvin said it had been his great-grandfather's room and had been empty for years. He told me to settle down to stay there and that he would ask Ms. Longman to send me a new set of bedding later.

I asked him when Maya would be back. He said the etiquette training was closed and would be over in three days, and he told me to try not to disturb her.

After that, he gently closed the door and left.

I looked around and examined the room.

The layout was still retro, with no air conditioning and no television. But most striking of all was a large oil painting on the north wall.

The background of the oil painting was the garden house. A young couple was standing hand in hand in front of the gate, smiling happily.

The boy's face was very similar to Calvin's. I guessed it must be the guy in the hallway photo. The girl in a student uniform with pigtails was probably his love.
