Chapter 45 : What if I Got it Wrong?

*Kenna*

Matt’s house isn’t at all what I expected. I assumed because of the simplicity of his rental at the festival that his house would be similarly low key. I was wrong. At first, I didn’t see the house through the trees. A stone fence came into view and we pulled through the gate. As we took a curve on the long, winding driveway the house finally came into view. It was a two story house with floor to ceiling windows. The yard was beautifully maintained with privacy hedges and pretty decorative trees surrounding the house.

To the left I could see a huge balcony with a table and chairs in the center. To the right, there was another small building. It appeared to be a pool house. I was suddenly very excited by the idea of swimming with Matt again.

We parked and I stepped out of the car. The air was so fresh and fragrant that I took a moment just to breathe deeply and enjoy it. I could see why Matt would want his house to be a little off the beaten path. It was peaceful here.
