Real wish that is just a lie

Enrico's POV

I was stunned when I opened my eyes and saw a chimera.

As soon as I get up and see my wife lying just a few meters away from me, I remember everything.

I was put to sleep while fighting those three-headed dragons. They give me the worst nightmare I never thought I'd have.

I run to her even if my head is a little bit fuzzy. I kneel and scoop her from the ground. I saw the dark blood on her chin and lips. "Love, what happened to you?!"

She raised her hand and tried to reach my face. I held her hand right away. I scoop her up from the ground and look at her.

"I'm glad. I came back," she murmurs.

I embrace her while I'm trembling in fear. I knew my wife would save me from the nightmare that those dragons gave me.

I grab the elixir in my pocket and pour it slowly on her lips. She starts drinking it, and her color starts to get better.

I don't know what happened between them, but I'm glad that she's alive.

"What happened, Kiara? Did they send you into an unfamiliar place like me, or did you just fight those three dragons?" I ask.

I opened the bottle and made her drink some water before I asked again.

After a few minutes, she embraced me again. "I really thought I was losing you, Enrico. I was scared when your pulse was getting weaker. That dream... it's actually poison," she says.

Kiara held my face and looked at me intently. Her worried expression was written all over her face. I held her chin and made her look into my eyes.

"Tell me what happened. I know they did the same thing to you, my duchess," I remarked.

She bites her lower lip. She held me and told me what kind of dream she had. I hide my true feelings.

Our dreams were connected to each other, but the part where she's telling me is the latter part of my dream.

What the hell is the meaning of that? That dream feels so real to me, and yet it's just nothing but a scary dream. The chimera behind me suddenly speaks.

"I don't want to be rude, but you two had a companion, right? He's in danger," he explains.

Kiara and I look at each other. He's talking about Sam. I held my wife in my arms, and I used the wind to make us float.

I drag the chimera with us. We need his help in order to leave this mystical mountain. I don't want to waste more time. That dream is nothing but a dream!

"Sam! Sam! Where are you!?" I called.

I can't lose a reliable knight and one of my best friends. We all heard the sound of a sword as well as growls on the west side.

I manipulated the wind and speeded us up. I landed right behind Sam and supported his back before he fell to the ground.

He's already in bad shape. I look at my wife. "Drink this, Sam, and protect the duchess!" I roared and used my sword to cut the boulders that were being thrown at us.

I looked up and saw two giant rocks. Their bodies were made of rocks.

They can produce their own boulders because their bodies are shaped like spheres.

I used the wind to slice the boulders that they're throwing towards us.

I faced them and glared. I'm glad we arrived on time, or else my trusted confidant would have died.

Sam can control water, and I guess it's still hard for him, especially since he's facing five giants.

I touch the ground and create my own boulders. "Face me!" I roared.

I pointed at their faces, and all the boulders I created went straight to their faces. I controlled the wind, which made me float.

I roam around and check if there are weak spots where I can target them to end this battle.

"Human! They're not this aggressive. These stone giants must have been controlled, or something was bothering them; that's why they're doing this," the chimera stated.

I look at them. He's protecting my wife and Sam as well. The giants turn around and face me.

If the chimera was right, then I have to find out what bothers these stone giants!

"Then what should I fucking do?!" I roared. I controlled the wind and broke the boulders.

I used the wind as well and made sure that the debris wouldn't fall on my wife and best friend. Wait a second?! I stopped and stood still.

What was that? I notice something at the back of their feet. What is that dark metal?

I landed on the ground and checked it. "I think I found the reason why! Ops!" I jump backwards and fly again.

I notice the words on those blades. It's an ancient scripture. "We'll lend you a hand. Focused on making solutions!" my duchess roared.

I know I can't stop her, and I really need their help. The chimera gives us a hand and helps us as well.

My duchess, Sam, and the chimera used their power to distract them. I lowered myself and breathed deeply.

I raised both of my hands and gathered the wind's strength. I have to pull all the metal that I saw behind their knees!

"Look only at us, you freaking giants!"

My wife throws water in their eyes after manipulating the water from the river.

"I am getting it! Just keep on distracting them!" I growled.

I take a step backwards and add strength to manipulating the wind. I can see the tip of the metal.

"Arghhh!" I growled.

One more second, and all the metals were thrown on the ground.

I controlled the wind and made everyone float in the sky to keep our distance from the giants.

They suddenly sat down and became silent for a couple of minutes. I pulled my wife to my side and carried her.

"How's your feeling?"

She smiled and suddenly kissed me in the neck. That made me blush. What is wrong with her?!

"I love you," she randomly says.

I sighed and looked at her. "What is wrong with you?!" I ask.

She giggles and wraps her hands around my neck. I heard Sam's voice. He controlled his laughter, but it was obvious to me. "Human…" they all said in a huge and calmer tone.

The giant boulders turn around and face us. I still have to guard us, or else we'll be doomed.

They suddenly bow their heads to all of us. "I guess you humans also have the chimera's trust," one of them says.

"You humans had released us from being controlled. Now, what do you want in return?"
