Episode 29

[The following chapter will be written in third person.]

Agreus walked out the front door of  the Inferno fraternal house. His tail twirling with every step he took down the patio. Once again those three individuals made their appearance, the same individuals that attempted to capture Dorrek, his soulmate. He didn't care what they wanted, but he swore on his own life that nobody will touch his soulmate.

"We meet again! Lord Agreus!" The man in the middle said. He wasn't dressed as a lumberjack anymore and stood in his true form. Dressed in an all black suit and a long coat with hat. The classical body wear mages used to wear in the 20th century.

Beside him was the woman still dressed in her white dress covered in flowers. And then there was the boy, Agreus could easily tell was just a man posing himself as a little child. He was going to bath his soulmate in their blood to show his devotion to him.

"I have have warned you before what would happen if any of you dared to come near my soulmate!" Agreus told them, gritting his teeth. "I don't like to repeat myself and you had your chance. So now I will end all three of your lives!"

James, the man in the middle took a step forward. All eight incubi stood on guard around Agreus ready to defend the devil king's soulmate no matter what.

"Boy, you have no idea what you are dealing with here." James spoke and scratched his beard. "Perhaps I should be the one to tell you, back off and we will spare you."

"Are you underestimating me?"

"No, I am only telling you that there are things even you cannot comprehend."

"Stop talking in circles!" He snapped. "You really think I would allow you to take Dorrek? He was born special and not to be used by you people for your selfish needs!"

"You have no idea how special he truly is."

"That's my line." Agreus stepped forward. With every step he took the atmosphere around them shifted. "You're heavily outnumbered. Hell I don't even need my guys to rip all three of your heads off. I warned you once, but now you'll face the wrath of the devil king!"

Fuelled by his rage, his body blazed up in hellish flames. He speed blitz towards James leaping in the air and twirling before coming down to whip his tail, unleashing a diagonal slash of hell fire.

Surprisingly James moved fast enough to summon a shield and blocking the slash but force of the slash sent him flying back into a tree.

Flora made the next attack. She dropped an empty flower boy before dropping a seed inside it. The seed grew and out of the soil inside the pot came wooden roots moving into the air like sharp tentacles.

It was a wide spread attack Agreus knew his guys could easily handle, so he left the woman to them as he charged towards James. He didn't see the little man-boy, Taku coming at him from above and delivering a kick to his back sending him crashing into the dirt.

"Fuck!" Dorrek slammed his fists against the window. Agreus was out there doing all the fighting and he was just left to sit inside the house and do nothing. Was his training all for nothing?!

He turned around and walked to the door to try and open it and even using his transmogrification spells to melt the door off but the spell Agreus used to seal that, nullified any magic coming at it. He was trapped inside.

Agreus recovered from Taku's attack and stood up dusting himself off. He tried using his tail to slash Taku, but the little mage moved so fast he was able to dodge and deliver a kick to his face and more blows.

Agreus was tossed left and right before punch and kick, but he was studying his opponen's movements, while instantly regenerating from every attack. And then when Taku attempted a right hook, he caught his fist the air and tossed him towards flora.

"Weak!" Agreus growled and then he got knocked over by a giant flail tossed by James.

Agreus pinned his heels down into the ground to slide back and then dodged the next attacks. By now he had some idea of what magic the three mages used. Flora used some plant type magic, while James used requip and Taku used magic to enchant himself and enhance his body. All three impressive at what they were doing but it was no match for the King of devils.

"Zayne!" Agreus gave Zayne the signal.

The guys all retreated before Agreus teleported and stood in front of the house. As the woman sent branches towards him he stood in position and grounded his feet. He then clapped his hands together hard unleashing a booming shockwave carrying a wave of hellfire and tending then towards his foes. The fire burnt through Flora's woods and through Jame's flail. Part of the forest was taken way by the flames but Agreus easily extinguished the fire with a snap of his finger.

James coughed laying on the ground after puffing out black smoke. His body covered in burns that wouldn't stop burning. "Damn you..."

"No. Damn you, for wasting my time by being so extremely weak!" Agreus mocked and and trampled a foot on his chest. "You thought you could take the devil king's soulmate? Well think again!"

James smiled.

"What?!" Agreus grabbed the collar of his shirt and lifted him off the ground, feet hanging in the air.

"I told you already and I will say it again. You have no idea how special the paragon is..."

"Oh I already know how special he is. He is my soulmate and I fucking love him! He is my world now and ever since he came into my life, it had meaning. You're the ones who don't know and can't comprehend how special he is. I would go through great lengths to protect him!"

"Well then, let's see you protect him now!" In the man's hand a dagger appeared which he thrusted into Agreus's rib cage.

Agreus scoffed at first thinking that wouldn't affect him but then he felt pain, excruciating pain that had him falling to his knee. "What did you do to me...Ahh!" James smiled evilly pushing the dagger even deeper.

"Do you know what this is?" Said James with a wicked expression.  "It's soul stone! Do you know what soul stone is? It's your worse nightmare. I know you incubi part of the royal family have a blood that's rare and pure. But you all have a weakness and that's soulstone. This dagger pierced your blood vessels injecting them with soulstone ash that's poisonous and will result in your death. You will die and our dear leader will take the paragon. And there is nothing you can do to stop it!"

"Agreus!" Zayne came out the house.

"Stay back!" Agreus said and grabbed James around his throat. He roared and unleashed he'll fire, burning and ending James's life then and there and then dropping his burnt up corpse on the ground.

He was still on his knee and removed the dagger and looked at the glowing green blade. His eyes went blurry and he fell on the ground as he started seeing black spots. All he could think of was his soulmate. All he could hear was his soulmate calling for him.

"Agreus!!!"
