**Calix**
I saw her across the room, her plain dress covered by an apron that hugs her curves and her face solemn. She looked back at me with a hint of fear and longing.
I could see the looks people gave her, mostly the staff who knew she wasn’t one of them. It was no secret that she wasn’t part of the pack, and their stolen glances betrayed their feelings.
That was what I was most concerned about; how the other would treat her. I found that I was constantly worried about her, unable to think of anything else.
Since I saw her in those woods, since I saw her fire up close and knew how much she was capable of, she had consumed me. Her touch was all I craved, and it took everything I had to stand on that stage and stare at the people who were expecting me to say something.
I was their Alpha, and there I was, entranced by the beauty of a rogue who didn’t have a status among her own people.
