Chapter 7.chaos 2

Cliff quickly made his way to the his workplace ,happy to have finally managed to avoid the over talkative man on the bus."Eh,why is so quiet?"he mummerd to himself as he got into the bookstore .Inside the mood was quite dull ,there were not many people except for the family of the three who looked sad and a bit worried."Ooh so you came ?I thought you would also be affected by what happened and would not make it,"said Mr Chen as soon as he saw him."Evening sir ?I actually found out from Ella before I saw it on the news she sounded a bit depressed so I had to come see if everything was okay .What exactly happened? why are all of you so down ?"Cliff inquired as he walked over to them."The police have marked everyone from the party as a suspect,am surprised they didn't interrogate you as they did with Ella.So we're worried about her and you of course as this will not be an easy thing if she's not found soon .Of course this also forced me to close down the store as the police came here today."This explained why Ella was so worried and he could understand as she was only a naive highschool girl and why the store was also not busy "Actually about the police,they did go to my house earlier today but since I was in school I've a scheduled meeting tomorrow hence I might not make it to work tomorrow,"he explained to the three who still looked worried,"I also don't think you should be too worried we were at the party the whole time and many people can confirm that hence what the police are doing is just protocol and trynna gain information or a lead on the case,"he added as he felt the need to comfort the family whom he felt sorry for as they'd been good to him.After assuring them and gaining some few days off to settle the matter ,he directly changed into his work uniform and started the cleaning which wasn't much as the store had not been busy that day .He also closed early after since not much was happening then.On getting home his parents were obviously worried about him and questioned him endlessly since the police were at their home earlier.After explaining himself he quickly fled the scene as he could not take the pestering from his parents.On getting to his room he quickly took a bath and after scanning and ensuring everything was in order and there were no spy devices he took out a second phone from a secret drawer and called someone."Hey boss I've got on sedatives,she is annoying and won't quit sobbing.Oooh would you look at that right on queue she just woke up,"a voice came from the other end .This was one of his me or just a criminal he had found to carry out his dirty deeds at will."Look here Will I don't have a mask on so don't let her see my face as we talk keep her safe a bit longer and I'll be there soon.Right now the police are too active ."Cliff immediately replied to him casually and as the phone camera changed in a corner he could see a lady tied to the chair still in the blue gown which was now in tatters and a face full of destroyed makeup due to crying.Although he saw that he wasn't too bothered by it and after a few words and discussions he hang up,took a deep breath and suddenly an eery smile formed on his face before he burst out laughing hysterically but one could see the determination in his eyes which were shining the brightest then.He then opened the door and walked on to the balcony,the world dead silent not a sound at all ,looked upward towards the star and a tear silently escaped his eyes .The next day ,he did not wake up that early as he was going to the police station later during the day .He helped his little sister get ready for her scholl as both his parents also left for work.Left alone he did some house chores and later at midday went for the interrogation which went smoothly as he was soon let go and just as he had guessed they just talked to everyone who'd being at the party. Despite been a college student they didn't suspect him as many more college students had crashed the party and his story also matched that of Ella his employer's daughter.
