Prologue: New Hero Hatching

The glowing full moon was high in the sky as two brilliant white wyverns flew through the air at a swift pace; it seemed they were fleeing from something. The Female wyvern gasped," Let's drop our egg off to a safe place." The male gritted his teeth and wordlessly nodded before panting," Of course, if we die, our young one may live." Both dove down into the forest below them, racing through the trees with practiced ease as a roar sounded from behind them, emitted by the creature that was hunting them.

Suddenly a spire of darkness shot out of the woods, skewering both of them. The sudden attack caused the female, the one holding the egg, to drop the egg into the bushes below them—the creature enshrouded in shadows roared in triumph after finally catching its prey. Both of the beautiful wyverns were now lying injured in a pool of blood. The female looked weakly at her egg that was safely resting in a small bush that had cushioned its fall. With the egg safe from danger, the dark creature figure stalked forward into the bright moonlight, looking at its fallen prey with its glowing red eyes. The predator hissed before dragging the bodies off into the night. The parent wyverns had thoughts of relief that their kind would not die out, as the predator remained unaware of the egg. Several hours passed as the egg sat in the bush tell voices called through the night before talon steps came running into the clearing. All of them unaware of the egg sitting behind them in a soft-leaved bush. One of the males, a young male fire wyvern, spoke," Well, Innurth what now." Another voice, a female's, said," Wait a second, guys, is that an egg behind us and have you guys not realized the puddle of blood near us." All of them quieted down as one of the females, the wind wyvern, moved towards the egg and spoke," The egg here belongs to none of our kinds. For that matter, it doesn't belong to the water or earth wyverns either." Another voice responded, this voice, a young male lightning wyvern spoke," This blood is fresh, very fresh probably in the last four to five hours if not less." That caused all the young wyverns to suddenly tense after hearing what their friend said about the blood. The female wind wyvern spoke," I will take it back home with Innurth and me just in case." They nodded in understanding as the lightning wyvern spoke," Good idea, be careful as it is most likely a new species, meaning if the earth, water, or humans find out about the egg. They will attack as we all know that they are greedy, especially after the last and most recent war that ended just the previous year—the one where we participated in, none of us are fully recovered from the casualties. You understand this right, Allit." The female wind wyvern, whose name is now known as Allit, replied," Of course I do." With that, the young wyverns jumped into the air returning to their homes. Both wind wyverns made it home as the sun was beginning to rise in the east. They were landing in front of their cave, their home inside the Valley of Wind. Their parents walked in front of two larger wind wyverns and smiled before their reactions turned to shock. Their mother exclaimed," Where did you find that egg?!" Allit quickly replied," In the forest near a puddle of blood." The moment she finished the sentence, the egg started to crack and rock, signaling that the egg was about to hatch. The egg slowly cracked open as Allit gently placed the egg down as the top of the egg exploded off the top. The results shocked all of them to the core sitting at their talons, a crystal white wyvern with beautiful white wings sitting there. The mother sighed and spoke up," I have a name already if you want to hear it," All of them looked at their mate or mother as she continued," Xyrvinos." Allit smiled and looked down at the little hatchling who was sitting in front of them as she spoke," Welcome, Xyrvinos. To our family." The little hatchling squeaked before curling up and falling asleep.
