Butler Micheal led Nilsa through the short corridor behind the armchair between the couches, there were four rooms there with a study at the far end of the corridor, butler Micheal opened the door in the middle of the other two on the left side of the corridor.
This is your room Ms. Walker..." he said and opened the door for her with his usual kind smile to which Nilsa gave a grateful nod at.
"I will ask one of the maids to whip something for you to eat , am sure you're hungry ,he added before closing the door. Nilsa looked at the closes door for a few seconds before turning to check her new room, unlike her previous room... this room has a warm colour, the bed was huge enough to fill three people, the bed side tables had lambs one them which had been switched on, the bed spread was all white and the pillows were black in colour, there were two love seats, a round tea table and a white rug underneath them.
There was two other doors inside the room, one facing was her bed and the one was on the left side of her bed when she enter, the doors of this rooms were made of transparent glasses with blue keteens behind them, there was another double sliding door on the left side of her bed, she set down her belongings and walked towards it and slide it opened which led to a medium size balcony which has a couch that can fit three people facing the garden at the back of the Manor with a tea table in front of the couch, it was simple but relaxing.
She closed her eyes under her cap whiles inhaling the fresh air through her face mask in a relaxed manner. She stood on the balcony for few minutes before going back to her new bedroom, she took her belongings and walked towards the closet before pushing the door opened, she walked in and started unpacking her things to hang them in the closet, after about twenty to thirty minutes.
She came out of the closet and walked towards the bathroom room to arrange her toiletries but it didn't take her more than two to three minutes to get back to the room. She went to get her towel and vanished back into the bathroom to take a quick shower, twenty minutes later she came back with her face hidden in the dark because she didn't bothered with switching on the main lights in her room as she prefers the darkness, she went to the walk-in closet, she threw on a black cotton or pijamas before coming out.
Nilsa threw on the cap and mask that she brought from the walk-in closet before taking her cell phone. she was about to go to the balcony to enjoy the fresh air when she heard a knock on her door. She went to opened the door only for her to see the butler at her doorstep holding a tray of foods for her, she wanted to take the tray of foods from his hands but he dodged her by entering the wide opened door walking to the balcony of the room, he placed the food on the coffee table .
"I brought you dinner since I know you wouldn't want to eat downstairs, you might be hungry as well as thirsty," he added while pouring her water.
"Drink this first he said handing her the water he just poured into the glass. Nilsa took the water from him a bit awkwardly but didn't make a move to drink it.
"Ooohhh right..., I will leave for you to enjoy your dinner," he added after giving the water to her,she gave a nod of gratitude to the kind butler before he exited her bedroom closing the door behind him while he did so. Nilsa sat down and looked at the food quietly, she felt happy to have someone who worries about her well being but at the same time she felt as if this was how it was supposed to be.
"so caring" she muttered in her heart still looking at the delicious food in front of her, after few seconds she pulled down her mask since the balcony has enough darkness to hide her face, she then dug in and started to eat with her back facing her bed room.
Nilsa was done eating after about twenty minutes , she went to her bathroom to brush her teeth, after doing her business she came out planning to enjoy more fresh air when there was another knock on the door to her bedroom, she sighed through her nose softly before walking towards the door to open it.
She pulled the door opened after getting close enough only to come face to face with a young man around the age of twenty six but that wasn't what puzzled her but rather the second man in the wheelchair who's being pushed by the other man who looks to be around twenty seven twenty eight years old , he has raven black hair with grey eyes, his eyebrows were thicker than that of a lady's, his eyelashes were long enough to cast a shadow on his cheeks when he closes his eyes, his red lips were pursed tightly whiles his thick brows were knitted together while his unfocused eyes looked past her into the distance, even though he was crippled... his aura was still strong, the cold aura surrounding him would soffocate anyone who comes close to him but it looks like the young man behind him has become used to the cold aura surrounding him.
Nilsa gazed at the two men for a while before moving aside for them to come in and tal, the young man pushed the wheelchair man inside gently whiles Nilsa closed the door behind them before walking up to them, she stood facing the wheelchair man quietly, she studied his every feature from under her cap, "for a man he looks very handsome or beautiful if I might say" she thought to herself.
"Mark... give her the papers", the wheelchair man said in a cold but relaxed tone to the man behind him who muttered a "yes boss " under his breath before taking a folder from the back of the wheelchair.
He passed the folder to the silent girl in front of them who took it and flipped through it for a few minutes before going to the bedside table to pick up a pen to sign the papers without questions, Mark looked on with bewilderment "how could she have signed those papers without bothering to check all contents of the folder.....?" Mark whispered this to himself quietly not wanting to incur his boss's anger.
Nilsa passed the folder to Mark after signing up.
"I've two rules here on this floor " the wheelchair man's cold tone rang out just after she handed the folder to Mark.
"One" don't go to my study without my permission".
"Two" do not enter my room ever, I hope I've made myself clear enough," he said raising his beautiful brows slightly.
Nilsa quickly took her phone and typed "I will do as you say, no worries" before giving the phone to the confused Mark who took the phone and read it out to his boss.
His boss pursed his lips tightly before saying word by word, "you are a mute, aren't you ....?" Nilsa looked at Mark and gave a curt nod which he confirmed to his boss who added another question.
"And you aren't Kathrine Walker ,are you....?" Nilsa took the phone and typed, "I'm not her am her younger sister, Nilsa Walker" she replied showing what she wrote to Mark who read it out to his boss again.
When he heard her second answer his aura become so suffocating that Mark felt chills all over but Nilsa just stood there calmly without flinching or shivering in fear rather...her posture looked relaxed and calmed that Mark became puzzled while looking at her with widened eyes not bothering to hide his expression at all, this is the first time someone was acting bored in front of his demon boss, he even blinked several times to make sure he wasn't daydreaming but he saw the same scene, nothing changed, this brown skin girl who's mute and have hidden her identity was able to act as if she was having a friendly conversation with his boss without trembling.
"How interesting" Nathan muttered in his mind whiles staring at the slender figure of the girl with slightly gaping mouth.
"How dare that sly old fox make my family look like a fool....?" her husband's voice coldly but calmly made it's way to her hearing but Nilsa knew he wasn't calm about the issue.
She was finally tired of standing so she sat down at the edge of the bed with a bored posture. Nathan looked at the girl's covered face quietly, he really wanted to applaud this young woman "I like her already" he thought. She really is the type of woman who could tame his boss, he has this irkeling feeling that somehow ... she could do it if she wanted to. She looks simple yet mysterious, if only his boss could see he will surely not treat her harshly in the future.
"I pray she doesn't leave him alone like this he really needs someone to hold onto even if the person is a mute" Nathan thought this to himself. In his point of view he doesn't think being a mute is something awful.
"Tsk, warm room but cold husband" muled Nilsa inwardly.
