She Is Going Nowhere

Tsk, warm room but cold husband," Nilsa thought.

"Don't cause trouble whiles staying here," he said motioning for the young man standing behind him to push him out which he did quickly, looking at the young man who was pushing her husband's wheelchair, her eyes glinted with a thought but she shook it off quickly.

"He must be very efficient when it comes to his work," she thought with amusement in secret.

Outside Nilsa's bedroom ;

"Give me every information you can find about that girl. I don't want anything missing from it, from when she was born to date, gather as much information as you can," his boss commanded coldly.

"Yes boss," Mark replied.

"Take me downstairs I need to talk to my family," his boss added and Nathan did as he was told to do.

They both took the elevator to the sitting room. Nathan pushed the wheelchair gently to where the rest of the Blacks were waiting, he came to a stop in front of them so the man sitting on the wheelchair can face them directly.

"Lucian... when did you did you get back...? How was work ?", the middle age woman Nilsa met when she came asked the crippled man with a motherly smile but didn't get any response from the young man, the middle age woman's smile stiffen slightly because of the cold shoulder her son gave her.

"Trisha.... I think our son is just tired so don't worry too much' everything will be fine soon," George said to his wife with assurance to which Trisha responded with a weak smile of her own.

"Are you people aware of Raymond having more than two children?" Lucian asked with a cold tone.

"We weren't aware until she came here tonight," George replied Lucian's question with equal coldness coating his tone.

"What puzzled me when I saw her was her skin colour," George added again .

Lucian raised his brows at his father's last sentence, "What has her skin colour got to do with anything...?," Lucian asked with furrowed brows .

"She's a brown skin girl son, she has her face covered as well so nobody knows her identity, I don't even know if she really is his daughter, after all everything about her feels mysterious," George replied.

"You can divorce her and send her back to where she came from besides the outside world doesn't know that you're married so it should save us some trouble," Lucian's mother added.

"She is going nowhere, I don't know what is wrong with you people but that girl is definitely here to stay weather you people like it or not," grandpa Kane interrupted them before they could even discuss further.

"Why are you so protective of a mute girl, we really don't understand your reason for doing this but you should put Lucian's condition into consideration as well Kane," grandma Lena said in agitation, she really couldn't get what was going on with her husband as he has never shown his protective side about outsiders except his family, he is extremely protective of Lucian because of the dangers surrounding him so seeing him protecting someone other than Lucian was agitating for his wife.

"Dad .. what's going on with you...?, this girl just got here but you act as if you've known her your entire life, first you held her hands and then you told us she was staying as your elderst grandson's wife leaving no room for further discussions and now this....?" George asked his dad with frustrated sigh.

"I've my reasons, that you will not understand and reasons you're not allowed to know yet, until and unless I'm one hundred percent sure," grandpa Kane replied with a firm expression.

"I'm also warning all of you here not to do anything you will regret, especially you Lucian, I know you Lucian and I know you've already given her your stupid rules, when you meet someone, you should get to know them before you judge them,"he added before starting to walk towards the elevator.

"What is all this all this, everything changed since that girl walked in here father has been acting strange, even butler Micheal has this rare smile on his face whenever he looks at that young lady," Trisha said releasing a sigh tiredly.

"Am tired and hungry, is there anything for dinner...?" Lucian asked no longer interested in all the family drama.

"Yes dinner is ready, we were awaiting your arrival, let's go to the dining room," his mother replied.

Outside the Manor, there were two tall figures leaning on a black car, the two men stood there in silence but not the kind that makes either of them uncomfortable.

"What do you think about the girl dad.." the younger man asked the older man after sometime.

"She's calm, confident and bold, I don't know why I feel distressed seeing her in the middle of all this shennanigans, I've this feeling.... I don't really know how to describe or put it into words, you know..... when I brought her to the Manor earlier... George looked down on her saying she wouldn't be of any help to Lucian if she were to stay as his wife and hearing those words from him I..... I felt angry somehow, it felt as if a thousands of knives we're piercing right through my heart," butler Micheal told his son breathing out a sigh of distress.

"I know I shouldn't get caught up in all of this but I think if I don't do it ... I will live to regret it," he added looking up at the sky with complicated emotions.

"I also feel the same and she's simple but mysterious, she's just special. The rules in that marriage would ruin her, how will she be able to live with a husband who wouldn't love her, even the world isn't allowed to know about their married life, everything is just so unfair to her, if Lucian and his family doesn't like her then he should let go of her, at least that will save her from being crumpled. I also feel as if I've seen her before but I can't recall where I've met her," Mark said with sadness.

"I knew he would do something like that,. How dare him treat her that way....?, goodness he really have no heart, does he ...?, I need to talk to her," butler Micheal said ready to leave for Nilsa's bedroom but was stopped by his son.

Okay okay okay , slow down, calm down first, you'll scare her, father.....you need to control your emotions first, breath in and out, Mark told the frustrated man.

His father did as he said.

"I'm calm now, can I go talk to her ..?," he asked his son calmly but Mark wouldn't be fooled by him.

"Yes but am coming with you," he replied.

"You can go and take your rest, besides I can do it alone," the stubborn butler replied back but Mark wasn't going to have any of it.

"We are family and if you want to do this then we will do it together, weather you like it or not so let's go and no arguments dad, Mark said leaving no room for further disagreements, with that they both went to have a talk with Nilsa.

Nilsa was on her balcony listening to music when there was a knock on her door, she stood up and walked towards the door in long strides, she opened the door only to see the butler and her husband's assistant at her door, she looked at them for a while before moving aside for them to come in which they did immediately.

Nilsa walked up to them while motioning for them to take a seat while she went to the closet and came out with an Ipad, she doesn't like using it but it seems this conversation will last longer from their expressions.

Mark and Butler Micheal stared at the figure sitting in front of them in silence, when she went to get her Ipad just now, her back view has been so lonely, how could Lucian's parents not notice this side of her...?, their heart tightened when they thought of how alone she might have felt with no one on her side, she doesn't have anyone who would lend her a shoulder to cry on.

Nilsa looked furtively from under her cap at the butler and her husband's assistant who have been staring at her with unconcealed emotions which was confusing her, she saw the butler stood up and sat beside her before taking her hands into his.

"We actually came to talk to you," he stated.

"This is my son Mark," he's my only son and we want to tell you that if you ever need anything we'll be here to help you," he said rubbing his thumbs on the back of her palm gently.

"Yes we would love to be the first people you ask help from if you're in need of one," Mark added to his father's words with a smile that looks more like a brotherly smile.

Nilsa gently took her hands from the butler's own before typing on it "anything....?" she asked showing the text to them.

"Yes anything dear," Butler Micheal answered with a smile looking at her masked face and he wondered what happened for her to isolate herself from the outside world.

"Father is right, you can ask for anything," Mark affirmed his father's words.

Nilsa felt warmth from their kind gesture, a warmth different from the one she feels when she's around her half brother and grandparents. She felt home here with Mark and his father.
