Chapter 36

Asia sat there on the sofa in shock at her mother and fathers words. She was being told of happy times and broad smiles. The sheer opposite of what she's always been told for her entire life. Her parents and Dark all laughed at the good times. Memories that Asia herself didn't remember.

In her head, all she had was dark thoughts. The grimmacing faces of her parents abusing and torturing her. Manipulating her into doing things she didn't want to do. Forcing her to do things she would later regret. Like what happened to Marie...

"Oh dear sweetie, those really were amazing times. You recall any of this Asia my little bear." Her dad had his hand around her mum. Asia shook her head at the comment, she didn't remember a single thing. None of it.

"Oh, Larry, Larry, what about that time when we went to the zoo with Johnny. And remember when he ate an entire tub of candyfloss and popcorn." Her mum turned to her father and flutter slapped his arm playfully.

"Oh yeah, the funky tubs what people had on the top of kiosks, I remember." Her dad turned and laughed at her story.

"I remember..." Tear and Larry stopped dead and looked at Asia. She started at them deeply. "I remember that. That day. At the zoo, with Johnny. We, we took a family photo with the lions in the background."

"That's right honey, we did." Tear got up from the sofa and picked up a picture frame, containing the very photo Asia was talking about. "This one, right."

Asia's eyes lit up when she saw the familiar image. It was like a breath of fresh air to her. She immediately broke down crying.

"Honey, what's wrong."

"I don't understand, I just don't get it. The day after that you started the abuse again. How can I have one good memory out of all the memories. It doesn't fit properly. I just. I don't know."

Tear and Larry sat beside her, they tried to comfort her as well as possible with their ghostly forms. Dark got up from his seat and placed his hand on her head. "We'll get to the bottom of this. But please, if you can trust me. We aren't your enemies. We're your family. We Love you. Asia looked up at him. And hugged him tightly.

"Even if this happy past isn't my real one. I don't mind pretending that it is. Please help me fix my memories. Please make them better. Asia fixated on the one good memory she remembered. That day at the zoo. With her family and friends. She could see the photograph in her line of sight. If it was fake, how was there a photo of it...

*SLAP* *SLAP* "Oi, wake up." Lemin awoke from a deep slumber. He was in a hospital bed, surrounded by other patients. He looked up at in old man wearing all white, glasses and a face mask. He had deep navy hair and seemed to be pretty old. "Are you up?"

"Uhm, I think so." Lemins head was a bit hazy, he had slightly blurred vision but apart from that, he felt okay. "Who are you?"

"Your Doctor, I saved your life so you should be grateful. Tis time for your tests, follow me please." The doctor walked out the room with pace.

Lemin scrambled after him in a hurry to catch up. "Doctor. Doctor. What tests am I in need of?"

"Oh just the basics, a quick open heart surgery, a prostate exam and an ECG."

"A prostate exa... whatever. The ward for ECGs are that direction. Where are you going?"

"I like to do things in a certain order."

"The neurosurgeon ward is that was aswell."

"Figure out what comes first yet?" The doctor looked back at the complaining Lemin.

The doctor walked up many flights of stairs until they reached the roof of the building. "Why are we on the roo..."

"Don't question my methods!" The doctor snapped at him. The two stood out on the rooftop of the hospital.

"I really hope this isn't where your going to give me a prostate exam. If it is, I don't believe you're a real doctor."

"Answer me a few questions first. How did you get injured?" The doctor spoke.

"I was hit by a bus, I think. I don't know it was all a blur."

Lemin tried hard to remember, getting hit by a bus would cause a lot of memory damage.

"Question 2, do you recall what you were wearing this morning?"

"I had an all black suit. With a pink tie. It was one of my favourite looks actually. Such a shame that I got ruffed up in it."

"Hmm I see, I see." The doctor grabbed the side of his cheek and gently peeled his own face off as he turned to Lemin, who was standing there in utter shock at the sight that was unfolding before him. "Question 3, do you know who I am?"

Lemin stared at Major, dumbfounded. "No sir, who are you?"

"Wait, what the hell! I'm confused as heck now. Think I might have brain damage." Major crouched down holding his head.

"Wh.. who are yo..."

"Shush for a sec, I'm thinking." Major was in a brain muddle at the situation.

"But I need to.."

"Shuddup!" Major slapped him round the face with NaRoBu flames, causing him to twist and flop on the roof. Lemin got up and looked at Major.

"You again? You want a round two?" Lemin walked towards him with a bit of malice in his step.

"Huh. Now I'm even more confused. Do you know who I am?"

"Of course I do you moron."

"This is making so sense at all..."
