As the chaotic echoes of the temple faded, they steadied themselves, refocusing on the mission that lay ahead.
"Lord, what are your plans?" Adhyant asked, his voice clear.
"Since my golden feather took us here…" Nirav paused, his eyes narrowing as strategy formed in his mind. "Adhyant, go to the priest. Convince him to let us stay here for the night. We saved their lord; he won't refuse us. We need to act swiftly—tonight."
Adhyant nodded, preparing to move, but then hesitated. "That reminds me, Lord—what about the flower fairy?"
A flicker of resolve ignited in the Lord's eyes. "If we're lucky, she might lead us to the next piece of the puzzle before dawn breaks."
With determination setting in, Adhyant sprinted toward the inner sanctum where the priest awaited, while Nirav's mind raced with the possibilities of Esha and this temple.
Akira slowly opened her eyes and saw Nir sitting beside her. His eyes were red, and smoke was billowing from his nostrils. He looked both sad and angry. When he noticed her waking up, Nir exclaimed, "Master... what happened to you? Why were you hurt for real?"
"Facing the phoenix... if you are not real... ahhh... it hurts..." Akira replied, wincing.
"Damn that phoenix..." Nir growled, spitting fire in frustration.
"But... saving a small fairy like me... he's not all bad..." Akira said, blushing without realizing it.
"By the way, Master, I saw that phoenix flying with a golden feather outside."
"Ahh... his phoenix feather??" Akira rushed to the window and slowly pulled back the curtain.
"Is it already night?" she asked, surprised.
"Yes, Master. You were sleeping for hours," Nir confirmed.
"Master, why is he wielding a phoenix feather in this insignificant temple? I've heard it holds incredible power."
"I know only that it is his unique weapon. But the true extent of its abilities... that remains a mystery."
"Do you think the feather has sensed you, the princess of the Night Tribe?" Nir's voice fluttered, realizing their current state was far from enough to face him.
"I have erased all traces of the Night Tribe. It shouldn't be able to detect me. But make no mistake—his presence is dangerous, and we must tread carefully."
The golden feather started fluctuating once she woke up. Nirav and Adhyant noticed its change. They remained vigilant.. Instincts heightened, they exchanged cautious glances, sensing that something was profoundly amiss. In the dark sky lit by moonlight the golden feather pulsating with an unsettling energy, drifted through the night air, its brilliant hue a stark contrast against the night. It swept through the air, swirling and spiraling, leading them on a curious chase until they found themselves standing before her door, hearts racing with anticipation.
