Chapter 16: Crazy For a Mate

Kyon POV

Kyon sure knew how to clear a room and a vast one at that. Although Jiro’s quiet disapproval made the enormous space seem too small. He and Jiro remained, with the silence as heavy and chilly as snow.

“You don’t have to say anything, even though I know you’re bursting with a lecture,” Kyon said.

Jiro just folded his tablet in his skinny arms and gave him a penetrating stare.

“It was foolish and reckless, I know.”

His little brother stood statue-like. Not even a sound. No emotion.

Kyon tried another approach. “And I probably don’t even want to go near Dane because he wants my tail on a platter.”

“Why your tail?”

Kyon felt his mood lift slightly after getting a response. “Because he says I’m vain about it.”

Jiro’s eyebrows lifted. “You are. Always brushing it and washing it. And yes, you do not want to go near him until Lilia has a chance to smooth over this crooked mess you’ve made.”

Kyon blew out a breath. “I don’t expect you to understand … Dane understands.”
