Chapter One Hundred & Eight: "You Fight For Her As If She Belonged to You".

Trent tended to a delirious lady Matilda until midnight when she eventually regained her consciousness.

"Am I in Aysun?" she asked groggily opening her eyes.

"No, You were sick, I couldn't bear to allow you make such a journey in your poor condition," said Trent.

"Oh," she muttered.

"Does my brother not treat you well?" asked Trent a note of concern in her voice.

"He... He..." and Matilda broke into tears. Trent wrapped his arm around her to comfort her. When she was done sobbing he said, "do you not want to return home?"

"No, I must,"

"What is happening really? He doesn't hit you, does he?"

"No."

"Then why do you run away from home every chance you get?" asked Trent.

"He drinks a lot now and he gambles away the estate. I'm afraid I shall wake up one morning titled but without a penny,"

"That will not happen, your business pays you well enough,"

"I am glad for it,"
