Chapter One Hundred & Sixty-Three: An Imminent War III

The guards had to drag Daffodil into the palace so she will not get hurt as occasionally bullets managed to enter into the open space. Meanwhile Artemis was inside his study pondering over what next to do. He had done all that Lord Creon had advised and now he was waiting for the results but he knew deep down in his heart that there was no escaping this; the temple will fall and the palace will follow; it was only a matter of time. The worst part of it was that amidst all this confusion, there was still no concrete evidence as to who was manipulating the rebel cult.

The suspicions pointed towards Vallus but Vallus had sent him a letter reporting how bad things were deteriorating outside the palace and in the letter, he told Artemis that he had taken the initiative to try and pacify the rebel cult and should this fail, he would lead an army against them.
