Chapter One Hundred & Seventy Five: Starving the King

Vivian collapsed on the ground from tiredness. To her it seemed as though she had been walking forever. She had no sense of time as it was only darkness that clouded her vision. However the only way was forward, she could not go back at this point. It was too late for that but she was thirsty and hungry at the same time. She had no strength to go on.

It was several hours before she roused from unconsciousness. She forced herself to stand up and she progressed on her journey weakly. She suspected that at this point Vallus must have found out that she had escaped and had probably seen the place she had taken flight from. If he decided to search for her and if he did find her, he would kill her without any second thoughts.
