The Grand Finale To The Guild War

Loid and Simon kept clashing each other's sword, their speed was basically matched neither could get the edge over the other. Suddenly they stop, and look around. They finally notice it's only them left.

"BWAHAHAHAHA!" Loid breaks into a sinister laugh, his eyes seem crazy as he brushes his hair back.

"To think that weak archer could bring down my most trusted member... Truly magnificent. All your guildmates, trying their best, just so your shitty worthless rag-tag group which you consider a guild could be saved! Tch- Tch- To think how disappointed they will be!" Loid rushes behind Simon swinging his sword at a fast speed. "When you'll lose."

**CLANK**

Simon's katana blocked Loid's broadsword. Their swordplay differed in many ways, yet the way Loid was able to swing his broadsword as fast as Simon swung his katana, it was impressive. Simon hated to admit it but he knew.

"People like you who run their mouth are normally weak. I must say, it's impressive how you are strong yet still annoying..." Simon said with a grin on his face.

"Tsk- you're the one who's annoying." Loid swung away from Simon's katana aiming for Simon's feet now. Simon jumps over the sword, and even Loid. He aims to attack his back. Unfortunately Loid expects the attack and he continued the swing he made at Simon's feet earlier doing a full-spin which ended up hitting Simon causing him to get knocked back.

Simon needed to get quickly back up as Loid's attack seemed relentless, now that he has the chance he seem to want to go all-out on Simon. The crowd looked in silence, everyone was speechless as the war's final battle raged on!

Simon quickly wiped away some blood on the corner of his mouth. His injuries aren't too bad so far. He managed to get back up to block Loid's attack. Both were sweating, perhaps this battle will turn into a battle for endurance. Neither seemed to want that. Loid began a barrage of attacks, knowing that Simon was even if only slightly, was in a weakend state. Even though Loid's barrage of attacks kept coming Simon managed to skillfully block all of them.

"I've had just about- ENOUGH OF YOU!" Loid yelled he kicked up sand into Simon's eye, a cowardly play but not illegal. The sand blinded Simon, then he felt Loid's broadsword hitting up at him knocking his chin, he flew up before landing with a loud thud noise. He lied down.

Loid smiled, he looked at the audience he held his hands up for them to cheer, but no one did. "Come on! Isn't this what you all came to see? A Guild War! The Raven Sword's win!" Loid walked over to Simon who was still lying down, he elevated his broadsword to swing for the knock out.

"You and I, we're gonna do great things..." Loid said his cheeky grin still plastered on his face. He brought the sword down, but Simon quickly rolled out under it. He was back on his feet. He quickly spat the blood which filled his mouth out.

"Such a cheap tactic... I won't be defeated...by the likes of you!" Simon blurted out, clearly he was weak. The crowd began cheering seeing Simon get up. It only irritated Loid even more. In a fit of rage he began rushing at Simon his broadsword ready for an overhead swing. Simon knocked his legs right out under him. It wasn't for long though that Simon had this advantage as Loid swung up as soon as he was on the ground. Simon jumped back, resulting in the swing not hitting.

"You're just desperate at this point... Give up!" Loid yelled out before going in for another swing. His anger seemed to fuel his stamina. Simon was at a clear disadvantage. There's no way he can lose, not after everyone fought so hard for his sake... He needed to win. He needed to turn the tables somehow. But there just didn't seem to be a chance. And even though he can replicate the sand kicking, he doesn't view it as a proper way of winning.

As he blocked Loid swing once more, he knew what he had to do. He needed to be even faster, he needed to go all out. If he cannot win in the battle of brawn, all he can do is be faster. Quickly Simon made some distance. He had a plan. He began dashing from side to side at quick speeds, he began dashing at Loid whilst doing so. Making it unclear from which side he'll attack. Loid scoffed.

"If that's all you got I don't have a thing to worry about." Loid took up a stance he'll do a wide swing to the front, knowing that it's bound to hit Simon as he was coming from that way. As he swung his sword, he heard it. In a split second he realized. He tried turning around but it was for naught. He realized the Simon's infront of him, were not there anymore. But before he could turn around, he felt a sharp pain hit his back. Simon cut him, causing a large X on the back of Loid. He fell to his knees in pain

"AUG-" Loid blurted out in pain.

"To so quickly go from disadvantage to advantage... Truly an impressive show of skill!" The commentator yelled out.

"No... I won't lose... Not to someone like you." Loid said, he got up and swang his broadsword at Simon once more, but by the time the sword was swung Simon already dodged.

"Damn it- Just how did you suddenly get- so much...faster..." Loid dropped down onto his stomach.

Simon didn't bother to explain, he wasn't going all out earlier. He kept focusing on defense which almost ultimately ended up causing them to lose.

"It's my win." Simon knocked out Loid with the blunt side of his katana. Suddenly the members of The Soaring Lions appeared. It seemed as some kind of winning ceremony. Some hologram screens, just like O.L.A.F. screen appeared in the arena saying that the Soaring Lions win. The crowd began cheering. And everyone got together and smiled.

"I'm glad we won, leader." Kristina said "Kwee!" Rocky added, "You had us fooled...I was half-ready to begin packing." Owen said jokingly.

"Ladies and gents! It seems that today's victor is the underdogs... The guild with only 3 members and 1 pet... THE SOARING LIONS!!!" The commentator yelled out.

"Did he really have to announce us like that?" Owen said.

They all laughed. Finally this stress filled battle was over. With a sigh of relief they can look forward to keep going as a guild, not to mention. Thanks to their victory. Starting tomorrow, the Soaring Lions will be ranked up ...to the lowest rank, of course this is only the beginning of their journey. But thanks to the rank up gathering new members will be easier... or so they hope. But tonight they don't worry about it. Tonight they will celebrate. For their victory is highly deserving of a celebration... Finally they are teleported back to their guild house... With Rosie waiting for them there, her smile almost blinding.
