After much contemplation, Tang Li made a decision. She would spend 1.5 of her hard-earned life points on acupuncture needles for weight loss.
In an era where obesity was less common, she felt this was a crucial investment in her health compared to other conveniences such as toilet paper and other luxury items.
Compared to the luxury items like toilet paper, which she had to forgo for now, Tang Li decided to prioritize her well-being.
As for the remaining half of her health points, she used them all to purchase cotton cloth. Her plan was to fashion two pairs of underwear for herself.
While she lacked the knowledge of sewing, the original owner of the body was skilled in needlework!
In this time and place, people primarily made their own clothes and shoes. The women in the village were adept at sewing, mending, and some even excelled in embroidery.
Though Tang Li wasn't experienced in embroidery, she had nimble hands capable of cutting and sewing clothes and crafting shoes. She considered it a good deal for herself.
With her exchange completed, Tang Li stepped into the space. The wheat seedlings outside had grown tall, reaching her ankles. Squatting down, she gently touched the leaves.
Growing up as an orphan in the city, she had never before experienced the joy of nurturing crops. A sense of novelty and delight washed over her as she marveled at the thriving wheat. She mused, "If only real-life crops grew this well, no one would ever go hungry."
Tang Li returned to her bed after coming out of the space, her fatigue finally catching up with her.
She quickly drifted into slumber, while Yi Minghuan, lying beside her, observed her with a hint of curiosity. He moved closer, propping himself up on one elbow to get a better view.
Tang Li's breathing shifted as she slipped into a deeper sleep. The once-light and steady rhythm of her breaths became deeper, punctuated by a slight snore.
Yi Minghuan worried that she might not be feeling well, but after watching her for a while, he realized she was simply sleeping soundly!
Yi Minghuan settled back down, hoping to get some rest himself and slumbered into sleep listening to her snores.
However, in the middle of the night, he was abruptly jolted awake by an unexpected blow. His eyes shot open, and he instinctively leaped out of bed.
But then, he heard Tang Li's unconscious muttering and froze in place.
Tang Li had unwittingly reached out, her arm landing on Yi Minghuan. She seemed to be attempting to turn over, but instead, she pulled him closer, wrapping her arms around him.
Yi Minghuan, "..."
Yi Minghuan couldn't help but marvel at her strange sleeping position. They were covered with separate quilts, yet somehow, she had managed to turn over, dislodge the quilt, and hug him in her sleep.
He chuckled softly at the peculiar situation, but despite the humor of it, he couldn't fall back asleep while being held in her embrace.
So, he gently removed her arm, turned her back to face the inside of the bed, and tucked her in with the quilt once more.
Tang Li groaned in her sleep but remained undisturbed, continuing to slumber peacefully.
Satisfied that she was settled, Yi Minghuan sighed in relief and turned around to go back to sleep.
However, just as he began to doze off, he was once again roused by Tang Li's restless movements. This time, she had placed her plump legs on his lap, and part of the quilt covering her had been lifted.
And she herself was still sleeping soundly!
Yi Minghuan furrowed his brow. He stared deeply at her for a moment, then resigned himself to the situation. Instead of waking her, he secured her in the quilt, gently pressing his leg against hers to prevent further disruptions.
Finally, Yi Minghuan managed to sleep soundly until dawn, undisturbed by Tang Li's movements. It was the ringing of the work bell that roused him from his slumber.
Momentarily dazed, he noticed Tang Li blinking as she awoke. Slowly, he retrieved his leg from her grasp.
Tang Li, now fully awake, lifted the quilt and sat up, glaring at him with a hint of annoyance.
"I kept dreaming that I was pinned down by a mountain in the second half of the night," she complained, her tone filled with frustration. "Turns out, it was your legs that kept pressing me! You have a terrible sleeping position!"...
