Chapter 11

[Slums]

"Hey Kids! Where are you?"

A Kid who came back from the slums to get his ball saw Princess Hannah.

"Elder Sister! Hehehe"

"Oh! Here you are John. Where are the others? I brought you guys chicken sandwich"

"Oh... We are swimming and I actually just want to get my ball so that we could play."

"Really?! Who are you with?? You guys don't know how to swim yet right???"

"Oh don't worry elder sister, Elder brother is here."

"EH? Elder brother? Who?"

"Elder Brother Luca hehe"

The kid smile so happily that it made Hannah jealous again because luca totally captivated the hearts of these kids.

"Come on elder sister! Let's go over there!"

John immediately grab Hannah's hand and pulled her while running happily.

"Hey take it slowly John."

But as soon as they are about to turn to the left corner, John bumped with a girl that is pulling luca. John then made Hannah lose her balance but as soon as all of them was about to fall, Luca catch the kids with his left arm and catch Hannah with his right arm.

"Are you okay?"

Hannah saw Luca without a shirt and was drench with sea water. Her world suddenly slowed down because her arms are touching luca's naked chest.

"I...I'm fine Luca... Thank you"

Luca then let her stand on her own and said.

"Sorry, I think I ruined your dress with these seawater in my body."

"O..Oh.... No, it's nothing."

The kids then apologize

"We're sorry Elder sister, Older brother!! We are just excited to have fun."

Luca smiled and offered her hand to Hannah and said

"Do you want to have fun with us swimming?"

"Yeah! Elder Sister! Come let's swim! It's fun!!"

"Yeahhh! Brother Luca made a mini swimming pool near the beach! So, it's safe. We're playing volleyball."

Princess Hannah was mesmerized by the shining eyes of the kids who look so happy. She then grabs luca's hand and said

"Fine. Let's go!"

Hannah saw how wonderful the mini pool luca made. Its as if it was made by a professional designer. Everyone was so happy playing with Luca and Hannah. They all then ate the fishes luca made and the chicken sandwich Hannah brought.

"Here it's chicken sandwich luca."

"Oh thanks! Here's your fish. Sorry if its not cook by a high-end chef hahaha"

"You're crazy. I'm not that picky."

"Then that's great."

Hannah then sat down in the sand chair beside luca.

"Uhmm... May I ask you something personal Luca?"

"Yeah go ahead."

Hannah seriously looked at luca and said

"Why are you here with the kids? Muriel is looking for you everywhere."

"Oh really?"

"Yeah. He actually even asks my brother for help finding you, but in fact my brother just didn't do anything to help her. And.... I think my brother likes Muriel."

"Oh? That's great then. They'll be a great couple of mermaids ruling Nether's domain."

"You sure?"

"Yeah"

"Then why did you run-away? That house was your home, right?"

Luca's face was serious and said

"Nope, It's not my home. Well... It supposed to be but not anymore."

"Why? How come?"

"I'm planning to leave this country and wander again anytime soon. That's why I want to have fun with these kids for the mean time before I made my final decision."

Hannah was surprised and was sad. She then, lean on Luca's shoulders and said.

"Can I at least make a selfish request on you before you leave in exchange for keeping Muriel's secret forever then?"

"Hahaha... I actually don't care about her secret anymore. But if you promise me to take care of these kids while I'm gone then I shall fulfill it."

"There's no need to promise, because I will definitely fulfill it!"

"Hahaha so what's your request then?"

Princess Hannah acted shyly and said

"Will you be....-----"

Luca teased her by facing Hannah so close because she suddenly become unaggressive unlike last time then he said

"Will I be what? Your boyfriend?"

Hannah blushed so intensely and the kids saw that then everyone started teasing them both.

"Yieee... Hey guys! Elder brother and Elder Sister are in love! I think they will kiss!"

"Lemme see! Lemme see!"

Luca laughed so hard on her reaction and Hannah then stood up to stop the kids from coming.

"Go and take a swim you, guys! We're talking about something important okay??!"

"Ayieee... I guess there talking about marriage then honeymoon... hahahaha"

"Hey! Where did you heard that word from!?"

"Runnn! HAHAHA"

The kids left running away from Hannah.

"Geez! Those kids! Why did they become so naughty these days?"

"hahaha, you really do love those kids aren't you?"

Hannah looked at Luca and embarrassly said

"Yeah... -------But not as much as------- I love you."

Luca was surprised and said

"Are you for real? Or are you just teasing me back?"

"Either way will do hahaha"

"You're weird Hannah."

"Hahaha but not as weird as you running away from home without saying goodbye."

"Hahaha That's none of your business------ anyway, what is your request seriously?"

"Just be there at the modelling dress event as my escort."

"Just that simple?"

"Yeah... Well, honestly, a lot of people wanted to kill me because I was---- being wed to a kingdom of monsters. They want me dead instead of marrying a monster."

"What's bad of marrying a monster?"

"Well, they said that it will bring negative energy into the country I was born in. Its just a baseless rumor anyway."

"So, will you please protect me and act as if you're my boyfriend?"

Luca think too deeply and said

"Hahahaha I see...!! So that's why you made a scene in that "on the spot modelling" so that if you will announce that I was your boyfriend, then everyone will believe that you have fallen in love with me aren't you?"

"Hehehe Yeah... You guess correctly. I'm sorry for dragging you into this though."

"Nah! Its fine! I think this will be fun."

"Fun??"

"Yeah! I can punch those human threats near you! I can at least relieve my stress in that way! Hahaha"

"Now, You're the one acting weird Luca!"

"Hahaha then you can call me My hero, my savior, oh my knight and shining armor HAHAHA"

Hannah then splash a water towards Luca's face and said

"Hey you're now day dreaming too deeply! Ewwww!"

"Hahahaha"

Both of them kept on splashing water towards each other like a lovely couple.

[Seaside]

6pm

The sun has already set but Muriel is still looking for Luca hoping that he will be near the seashore looking for fish. She kept on worrying that Luca might be in danger because of it. She was caught up with the thought of dresses and forgot the deal both of them maid. Most importantly, she can't think how should she apologize to Luca about all the things she said.

As she walks towards Jay's old house, she notices a swimming pool built using a magic power 20meters away from Jay's house. She immediately run towards it but no one is around. She felt that there's no other human who could do this stuff in just a day! It must be Luca!

She then run and got inside Jay's old house and kept on calling Luca's name.

"Luca!"

"Luca!"

"Where are you?"

But only an echo answered her call. She then realizes that she was completely abandoned by Luca. She walks back home but her eyes were full of loneliness and guilt because of the memories of Luca.

He is the first human who respected her and treated her fairly. If Luca isn't missing, she won't know that Luca is selling her fishes "the cheapest" in the market just so everyone can enjoy fish dishes without any discrimination of being poor or rich and yet, she treated him like a criminal.

As she walk across a store, someone suddenly called Luca's name but as soon as she opened the door, it was just a father reprimanding his son who has the same name as Luca.

She haven't eaten anything yet and she can't even feel if she's hungry. As she keeps on walking, rain suddenly poured down and everyone in the street got inside of the stores.

She was left all alone walking down the street with a depress eyes when suddenly, she notices that her amulet is losing powers already.

The amulet given by Prince Nathan can last long with just a little magic power but she constantly used it non-stop, just to look for luca. She didn't even realize that she has ran out of magic powers. She then saw a dark alley and hide inside a big trash bin and then her feet turned into a tail.

***What am I going to do?? Arggg... It smells awful here****

She suddenly realizes a "Luca homeless" and thought to herself

***Does Luca live in this kind of home too? ---Well, I guess I deserver to experience this kind of home"

She cried so hard but suddenly someone opened the trash bin and she was shocked

"Holy Shit! A mermaid!!"

A group of criminals heard her crying in the trash bin and saw her tails and the pearls she maid because of the tears.

"We're gonna be rich!!!"

"RICHHH!! Guysss!! HAHAHAHA"

"JACKPOT !!! "

Muriel was so afraid that she trembled in fear. She didn't have any powers left yet to defend herself from these criminals who looked at her with greedy and evil eyes.

"He...Helpp!!"

All the criminals laughed and said

"Oh dear mermaid, even if you shout for help no one will help you, ya know! AHAHA"

"Hell yeah! You're not a human after all HAHAHA"

Muriel then saw a bottle inside the trash can and throw it in the faces of the criminals.

"Argg!! Fck! That hurts!"

"Tie that mermaid before anyone else notice her!"

Every criminal then started to climb up to get inside the trash bin.

"No!! No!! Stop!! Don't come near me!!"

The person who got hit then slap Muriel in her face and said

"Fck you! Shut the hell up and be our money slave you piece of sht!"

"Hey don't hit her! She might lose a slight of value if its damage"

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA"

Muriel's face was full of horror. She then thinks that Luca is a thousand times different from these guys. She suddenly felt dizziness, maybe because of the slap? Because she's hungry? Or maybe because she ran out of magic power? Yet all she could think is Luca.

***I'm sorry Luca... for being a bad friend...***

She accepted the thought that this kind of death is what she deserves but deep inside she hopes that Luca will save her.

As soon as she's about to lose her consciousness, a big thunder came and all of the criminals were wipe out with no bodies left, but only bloods. She only felt that the man suddenly carried her.

And when she looked into the face of the man, she saw luca with a lot of blood in his face. He was so furious and scary but she wasn't scared at all, instead she felt relieved that Luca came to her rescue.

Muriel then lost her consciousness..
