Chapter 7

Everyone was confused as to what was going on. How does their king know this stranger on his knees?

"Well, I could barely say the same for you old man," Luke said.

'Are you serious?' Tim wanted to shout but kept to himself. How can Luke act this way? He spent nearly three years doing calculations to build a time machine to bring his mentor back. So why is he acting this way?

David went to sit on the throne, crossing his legs. "That looks uncomfortable," Luke commented.

"It is, but it's for the best this way," David replies.

Luke had this unreadable look in his eyes that made David feel uncomfortable. 'Oh,' Luke thought, he then smiled darkly at David. 'Very interesting.'

"Anyway," David said looking away. "The mark of the Demon King has been found on you," he said seriously.

"A butterfly?" Luke asked.

"So you became a deal with him," David said glaring at him

"Psh," Luke said. "I don't even know who he is," he said smiling. "But I do know Nyx," he said looking for a reaction from David, and he got exactly what he wanted. The look of fear.

"You met the evil goddess?" someone in the crowd said.

"He must the a child of evil as well!"

Tim didn't like where this was going at all. "Unfortunately, Luke, my son," David said with remorse. "As punishment for associating with evil, I have no choice but to order your execution."

David got up from his throne and in his hands, a golden sword formed.

Luke seemed calm, but Tim wasn't calm. His ticket home is about to get executed by his father figure.

"As much as I'd like to be beheaded," Luke said calmly. "I promise my lovely therapist that I'll take him back home."

"You think I'm lovely?" Tim said in surprise.

"Yeah, as if," Luke replies making Tim pissed off.

David smiled. Luke has a plan, he just needs to know what it is. A bright blue light engulfs Luke as he disappears from where he is kneeling, causing the people in the court to exclaim.

He was gone for a while and Tim sighed. 'I should have chosen a different career path,' he thought.

Soon there was a commotion everywhere, people were being burned alive and Tim felt a warm liquid running down his back. He didn't need to see the sight of blood to know it was the blood of the guards behind him.

He hears chains shattering and feels himself being carried. He doesn't think Luke is strong enough to carry him. "Are you alright?" he hears a woman's voice.

"No!" Tim replies honestly. "Both physically and mentally."

"It's awful your friend abandoned you, eh?" she said as she was running.

"I don't think I was abandoned," Tim said as he opened his eyes. He sees a black-haired woman, with blue eyes. He was awestruck. She is beautiful.

Tim was right about Luke not abandoning him because, he soon arrived, right in front of David's throne. Unfortunately, David was not on his throne.

He turned around to see David and a young girl fighting. The girl is a silver-haired girl with icy blue eyes and was skillfully fighting with her sword, which had a blue glow. David had this crazed look in his eyes. "Just give up princess," he said.

Luke knew the girl was going to lose, she was pushed back with a cut on the side of her stomach, and light magic circles appeared around the girl. "Give up, River!" David said as the magic circles glowed.

"That looks cool, I'm hurt you forgot about me."

David turned around to see Luke but was met with a hard kick on the face from him which sent him a few feet back, then almost immediately, he was met with a punch that knocked him down. Luke didn't stop there and kicked his neck, which made David spit out blood, he then took out a gun from his pocket and shot his hands and knees.

Luke had a cold look on his face as his guardian tried to scream, but only spat out blood. "I'll deal with you later," he said, then ran to the injured girl. He holds the girl's shoulder and teleports to the cave, where all his stuff is still.

He stands up and takes a few things. He first took the tin containing the core for the time machine, as well as first aid kits for the girl who was on the ground on her guard. He walks to her and she moves away in fright.

"Don't be stupid, I'm not going to hurt you," he said boredly. He hands her the first kit. "Disinfect your injuries, I'm going to try to contact my therapist."

He went over to find his phone and frowns. Of course, there wouldn't be any service. They are in a different world. Speaking of different worlds what was that thing David was doing?

"Why are you saving me?" he heard the girl quietly say.

"Nothing," Luke said, as he looked at the tools. Thinking of which one to take. 'I'm going to need a lot of them,' he thought in frustration.

"Thank you," the girl said.

"Don't take it the wrong way, little girl," he said. "I need to take him back to my world so he can take his place as company boss and get his children off my f**king back," he said. "If he refuses, then I'll beat him half dead again and take him back forcefully."

The girl stood up holding the first aid kit in her hand. She walks to Luke who is startled that she can stand. "You can stand," he said, not surprised.

"I'm half-angel," she said, smiling at him, then handed him the stuff. "I'm all healed up, thank you," she said.

Her eyes were very innocent, it's been so long since Luke had seen someone with such clean eyes. "How old are you?" he asks.

"I'm twelve," she says honestly.

"You are too innocent to be twelve years old," he said. He hears something and he takes out his gun again. "Are you okay with murder little one?" he asks.

She holds her sword tightly. Her eyes became cold and concentrated. "Not so innocent then," Luke said in amusement.
