Family dinner

The grand dining hall buzzed with activity as the maids hurried to and fro, meticulously setting the table for the evening's family dinner. Silverware gleamed under the soft glow of the chandeliers, while fine china adorned with delicate patterns was carefully arranged at each place setting.

Old Mrs. Sullivan sat at the head of the table, her posture regal and dignified as she oversaw the preparations with a keen eye. To her right, Michael took his position, and across from him was Jacob. Grace sat beside Jacob, her posture composed yet tinged with an underlying unease. Despite Old Mrs. Sullivan's gesture of reconciliation and the prospect of living under the same roof as her mother-in-law, Grace couldn't shake off the feeling of apprehension that lingered in the air.
